Dear Community,

With the release of SAM Simulator v0.930.2, I concluded my activities in this area.
Now, all of my spare time goes into another project, that on the long run might result another "Realistic to the Switch" simulator.

Thanks for playing SAMSIM!

Well, glad you just answered here (as my PM where still unanswered...).

So, I wish to clear some topics here (and INSIST my questions to be answered) I would appreciate your answers...

So let's begin....

1. Would you add the new info for SA-5 in the manuals set (and send it for translation to your translation sidekicks (I wish you do thatQ)...?

2. Will you continue to write here on some SAM related topics (news, analyzes etc.) and if not - where you will participate?

3. As you finished SAM Simulator development, is there any chance about fixing jamming bugs in the last version, and AS NO MORE VERSION WITH HISTORICAL SCENARIOS WOULD BE CREATED, is there any chance for a mission builder (even based on Hungary test range but with live firing - thus minimum programming IMHO ), so we could test some scenarios and situations (I find the SIM really useful for some analyzes and visualizations)?

Please, thing about it and do what yo can.... Just make a final gift for me and people here....

sigh

Thanks Hpasp for all you work!

SAM Simulator is one of the most interesting simulations that I played and for me it is a very important "learning tool" which allowed me to learn more about something which previously I only had "superficial" knowledge about.
Being a military aviation enthusiast and a combat flight simulator fan/player, I always felt that knowing more about SAMs was a very important since IMO it's a very important complement to my knowledge about military aviation in general.
Playing your sim was also very fun and it seems to give a general idea how the guys on the ground (manning those Air Defense Systems) must feel when facing enemy aircraft. thumbsup

Thanks again for your work Hpasp

Thank you for all of your work Hpasp.

If you ever come back to SAM Simulator in the future I would look forward to seeing a scenario builder and the SA-1 and Nike missiles you were so interested in.

Good luck in your future endeavors.

Is there any chance you could release the source code? I'd be interested in porting it to Linux, writing an adapter to allow it to be used in DCS: World, and possibly even making a Virtual Reality version (if I could find enough images of the interior, that is).

There might be some chance, but certainly not for free.

And what about advanced jamming for Vega, mission editor and S-25?

That's the most bizarre part - Hpasp just dropped his long-term project not finished (S-300 under construction, mission editor, unfixed bugs etc.

The most logical way of finishing such project (IMHO is to make a mission editor, so users(fans could use the SIm interdependently as right now missions could be made only by Hpasp and he really hate that....

Also I received really inderesting additional info about SA-5 functionality, and the source of it even added it in the russian manual, but guess what Hpasp even do not want to upload it and sent to translators he used !!!! screwy

Such strange, and IMHO abusive behavior by Hpasp could mean two things:

1. He was threatened pursued from any government organisation or even a terrorist group because of is work, or

2. He signed a contract with a game developing company and terms in this contract forbid im to work on a competitive project...

Of course we could speculated a lot for the reason of such behavior, but one ting is certain this is not a way to finish such project.... I am really mad about that, at least I pretend to invest a lot of time to search information for sake of this Sim (exPVO guys are real pain in the *ss for conversations...

Thanks for your hard work Hpasp!

SAMSIM extended my military technology interests far more than combat aircrafts. Good luck with your new project!
