I rented it from a Redbox and it's a fantastic looking game on the PS4 too.

IMO, it is right up until the story rudely interrupts you.

I feel this RPS article sums things up nicely:
https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2018/04/03/far-cry-5s-interrupting-story-ruins-everything/

I don't regret the purchase, but it's just a case of the game getting in it's own way a lot.

It's from Ubi...I made a vow to NEVER buy anything from Ubi again.

NEVER means NEVER.

I personally believe in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus and that deficit spending is sustainable forever. We really do need more Admirals in the Navy than ships and that millions of more poor immigrants will jump start the economy.

Thanks!

Well, i like it but i also kind of agree with the article that Agressor Blue linked. Story wise it's pretty awful and badly implemented. But the core gameplay is pure fun. It's a total sandbox, so the best way to play it is just do whatever you want. The whole map is open for you from the beginning, no restrictions there. So treat it like a huge playground, hunt, kill, fly, ride, go fishing, do all sorts of crazy stuff and just forget about the story.
