Nice Find I did not think to search OSHPark for TLE5010 ...I think rel4y is on the Russian Forum's Thread Sokol1 started there , I think that's where I have seen his "Handle" before.

I think Sak75 used the Yoycart one , PM him perhaps , as Shipping to Spain was better from them....

I have read taobao is hell to order from and not in English or Portuguese smile

maybe all 3 places are the same Seller using 3 different Websites though ?

I believe so...

Or one seller picking up with the another.

My $0.02

Back in ~2005 when I discovery MMjoy project (grandpa of MMjoy2) in (RiP) Sukhoi Russian forum I know nothing about PCB, electronics, only basic solder.

But want try one since parts needed are affordable, then my fist PCB was hand drawn with mark pen - resulting a Fred Flintstones job, but that work. smile

After I try some PCB drawings programs, some difficult to master like a Auto Cad (Protheus), but are some very intuitive like Sketchup (e.g. SprintLayout).

Free PCB programs: https://www.electroschematics.com/2249/pcb-design-software/

Drawn a PCB for TLE5010 or redraw some inside Mmjoy2 files is very easy, and DIY a PCB with toner method (see YT) is very easy and cheap and the result satisfactory.

This Mjoy16 (father of MMjoy2) PCB was build by toner method in ~2008 and still working. smile

[Linked Image]

Today if you have easy access to OSPark service, no reason for DIY. Same if have time to await arrive from DirtyPcbs in China.

But if not, DIY is perfectly viable. wink

Hi Sokol1, I have a mjoy16 board that I've never used... is there any way (easy way) to load old mjoy firmware?

You need a programmer cable, back in time we used make one with diodes and a DB-25 connector and send the firmware through Printer Port - no longer available in modern motherboards/laptops.

Can use original Mindaugas MJoy16 firmware or first versions of MMjoy (not MMjoy2) - not sure if still available for download.

Could you use a USB to DB25/LPT Printer adapter Cable ? I have seen them , but I an not sure what the original Mjoy entails or looks like....

Hi StrangeD0S

I reworked this joystick last year, from old sound port to USB, of course I used MMJoy2. Explain to you all theory about MMJoy2 and how to work electronics, sorry I am very busy. But all necessary information you can find on that forum.

Look at my post and pictures only for your inspiration:

CH Joystick

If you have some specific questions about this reworking I am ready to answer you.

Good luck

More easy get a USB ATMEL AVR USBasp cable:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-3V-5V-US...ATMega-51-ATTiny-TW-/131301113900?_ul=BR

But better invest this ~$2 in another PRO Micro and leave this MJoy16 for "museum". smile

BTW - GVL224 still using MJoy16 in their custom made throttles.

Hey all,
I'm having a problem getting my FLCS buttons to be seen in MMJOY2. I have been following this thread that Kbird started Kbird FLCS TQS thread and have gotten the FLCS joystick components setup so they are recognized and working in MMJOY2 and in Windows. I can't seen to get the buttons recognized. I've made hookups according to the diagram below.

I have verified that the connections from the board to the shift register are all good by opening up the FLCS handle and using a continuity tester to make sure my solder connections were good and that there was not come connectivity issue in the handle wiring.

The second attachment shows what my first attempt was and how I had setup things in the button section. All buttons were red as if all buttons were being pressed at the same time. So I started over, reloaded the MMJOY2 Firmware and setup the FLCS config again.

The third attachment shows what I now have. I get no corresponding button light up (red) in MMJOY2 when I press any of the buttons. I'm really stumped. I'm hoping its just some type of config setup.

any ideas?

Let me know what other info you need. The board I'm using is a ROBOTDYN Micro.

Thanks

Slarti

Yes, it is very strange.

Looking in it's history of sales I don't find feedback on this product.
But I find a lot of feedback in others products in february/march of 2018.
And, in the item description, sellers guarantees, they offer refund if the item doesn't received in 39 days.

I don't know... I think I will give another try to it. And, monitoring the time, if doesn't come in 39 days, ask a refund.

plan B: start to thinking in build your own pbc. In Canada you could find a service to make the pcb for you, I guess, even if that just only without the components, which you could soldering by you later.
Or, try to learn how to create the pcb by yourself.

According to my budget researches, I will spend something like U$ 28.00, buying the components separately and manufacturing the pcbs by myself. But, in this case, I will have material to do 10 pcbs. Of course, is not an easy task to do, and without experience (my case), I will probably loose some material, but, I bellieve that this will launch the price to something like U$ 32.00, which is acceptable.

But, all the work involved become the product ready in aliexpress very attractive...

Hi guys...well it gets a bit stranger regarding the Seller on AliExpress for the TLE5010 Boards , she emailed me today saying She now has Stock and would I like to Order again?... I see another 3-4 people have Ordered in the Last week or so too .... She is now charging for Shipping though ($1.31 to USA but shipping is 15-20 days instead of 39-59 days.

https://www.aliexpress.com/store/pr...tml?spm=2114.12010612.0.0.232316a8qoJ1qm

She also has 74HC165 Shift Register Boards now too with the Wiring , $5 each in a two pack ($9.80) each board is good for 24 buttons as I see 3 SR Chips

https://www.aliexpress.com/store/pr...tml?spm=2114.12010612.0.0.18187bbcfCVNey

There also appears to be a 3rd PCB in the new Photos now , in the Product jobs Demo Photo you can see it connecting the 74HC165 boards together with the TLE 5010 Boards.

can't find a link to the 3rd board though....

Hi KB,

This is good news. I suppose.

Seems to reinforce the seller's suitability.

Do you intend to buy?

I was waiting to hear what you thought smile

I am tempted , though I am not sure why She returned my Money instead of Shipping the 3 sets I ordered originally if She finally had them coming in ? maybe that was AliExpress though and She had no choice?

she probably thought she would get the items, then she think she could't, then her supplier ensured the supply.

It's a reasonable explanation for me.

I give her another try.

Considering that aliexpress guarantees the refund, you have nothing to lose.

I think I will try again .....Hopefully Her Technician doesn't have another Bad Date smile

I guess you were right about China coming to a standstill at Chinese New Year and the whole country just stopping work , and now they are catching up again.

I am curious about the 74HC165 Boards too since I made my own last time ( not so pretty smile ) from Prototype Board
though I may stay more "original" this time and not add all the extra Buttons.

I have also asked about the 74HC165 Boards and the 3rd PCB in the Photos now , so hoope to have some more info in a day or two if you plan on ordering again too.

Hello Sokol1,

I am also currently working on a CH Combatstick to USB mod and have a question.
In another older thread you shared your experience modifying the Combatstick and rewiring and adding all the necessary diodes to the button matrix. Is adding the diodes necessary or does the grip already have diodes in its matrix? Because I can not find diodes in the original grip. Or are they just hidden? I was hoping I could simply decode the matrix and use what is already there.

@erichos: Maybe that is also a question you could answer me? I looked at your mod, which is impressive! But the inside of my grip looks a bit different maybe because it is the Combatstick and not the Fighterstick. The button matrix is probably different too because of the extra HAT in the Fighterstick.

I don't know the USB version specifically, only have working with gameport version (CombatStick and FighterStick) and they have diodes.
Maybe USB version use diodes in SMD format, a small rectangle in PCB trails like in this - don't know from what version but I guess USB, as in my gameport diodes are in conventional format.

[Linked Image]

The difference between Combatstick and FighterStick is only HAT's in place of two buttons.

Special faster Shipping is only available for the USA currently.
