Anyone have any experience with these? I am wondering if they work with the TM Warthog equipment as well. I don't feel like building something out of wood or PVC as I have already done that and scrapped both things but merely want something that appears to be durable and easy to attach to a desk. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Hi,

The Virpil mounts are great, .. and work incredibly well, .. especially for the price. smile I got mine last month, .. and I don't how I managed without them.

Virpil have mounting plates specifically for the Warthog Throttle and Joystick. I also got their extension set, and am using the 10cm extension with the Joystick. smile

.. which is what I'm using for now, .. as my Virpil MongoosT-50CM Flightstick has arrived in the country (South Africa), .. and should be with me any day now. smile

Once their new Throttle is released, .. I'll be getting one of those as well. smile

So, .. my advice is, .. get the mounts, .. they are easy to work with and use, .. and aesthetically, .. they kinda look like aircraft parts .. smile

Cheers
Tom

The Virpil mount is brilliant. I actually have it reversed and fixed to a chair.

I just got a desk mount with a Warthog plate this week. Won't actually be attached to a desk, but to my driving rig.

Initial impressions echo those above. It's a very well designed and made piece of kit, will do the job perfectly.

Nice one, just found this thread and purchased the T50 base and desktop mount to pair with my Warthog stick. I also went for the CosmoSim cams too so will try those out with Elite.

22 days after I ordered the T50, I emailed Virpil asking about progress as I hadn't had any emails since the date of purchase........they have said that my items have always been in stock but they are yet to dispatch them. My order stated up to 14 days for delivery, they just forgot to mention that it takes months for them to get off their backsides and put the order together. Has anyone else waited this long buying from them?......I can't say I'm impressed.

So after more emails and follow-ups, Virpil are now saying that they are having big distribution problems due to existing work and a new factory.....apparently all recent orders have been delayed and it will be the 10th April for the next batch of orders to leave their production lines. I'm already getting tired of their excuses and poor communication. The T50 better be good.

See my ThrustMaster warthog post selling set of Monster Tech Desktop Mounts in my opinion they are the best out there but shipping is quite pricey as from Germany

Thanks for all the information boys. I am breaking down and buying the ones from Virpil. Shipping and total price was a little cheaper than the ones from Monster Tech and the build quality looked about the same. We shall see when they arrive. Waiting on shipping details. Thanks again for all the information.
