I *HATE* tissue paper thin t-shirt fabric and especially if the bottom pulls up over your waistline/belt while in use. I have come to really appreciate Dickies pocketed t-shirts in the tall size. They don't come in a lot of colors. Mine are black, navy blue and gray. The fabric is nice a thick and the sleeves are a good length. You can get them dirty but they always seem to come out clean in the wash too. I always want a pocket too because I always seem to have something to put in them. I haven't found any brand that is better but I'm always open to suggestions.
As for jeans. I'm still searching for a brand that won't tear at the knees or the belt loops don't come apart. I've tried many brands, usually from Wal-Mart but I've given LL Bean a try too with the same results. Anyone had good experiences with a particular brand? I'd rather spend more to get jeans that will last than having to keep buying the crap I'm tired of. I'm considering getting denim knee patches and reinforcing the knees from the inside of the jeans but that still leaves belt loops tearing.

Duluth Trading. I like Carhart too, but Duluth is like that on steroids and also very smartly designed. I’ve got their jeans (lots of belt loops, deep pockets, gusseted), firehose cargo pants, shorts, shirts...even a firehose seat cover. LOL Brilliantly made stuff, very true to size. Maybe feels a little larger than usual since they’re designed to be roomy for good motion. I won’t buy any other jeans now. https://www.duluthtrading.com/

Okay here's a tough criteria to meet: tough work clothes that are also made in America.

Yeah, they have them if you want to pay for it. I don’t think they have all the same features, but due to not finding a manufacturer able to do all the same things.

Been wearing Duluth Trading Company work clothes for the past 7 years after I found Cabela`s no longer make the shirts I liked. As for the Firehose pants, they last me so much longer then any other maker. Love the shorts to. The shirts are even better. Have a closet full of Duluth Trading company clothes. About all I will buy. All online to. Work shoes, I prefer Keen`s over all others.

Looking at the Duluth site I found the most amazing thing:
Pants made in a 33" waist size.
In my ongoing, successful efforts to eliminate my "starter belly," which was brought on by my 32" pants being a bit taxed and 34" trousers requiring a belt, it's hopefully the sweet spot.
The wife has demanded that I purchase new pants, as almost all of mine are either wore slap out (my "airplane building" cargo pants are just about more patches than original fabric), so I decided to try out a pair of their fire hose cargo pants.
The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events. More dumb stuff at http://www.darts-page.comFrom Laser: "The forum is the place where combat (real time) flight simulator fans come to play turn based strategy combat."

The reason I started using Duluth was this exact same issue with waste sizing. Made it easy to find and wear.

Used to rock Carhartt (and still do, because they last forever) but now am using Duluth Trading Company 'firehose' pants. One thing you'll notice right off the bat, is that they're softer feeling and more flexible than Carhartt, which remind me of 'toughskins' from when I was a kid. Very stiff and take quite a few wash cycles before they loosen up.
Yep, and even water proof till about the 5th wash cycle. Then they start getting wet.

Any way to re-treat them?
