Sorry but that's just BS. ED were joint partners with 'old mate'. If it was solely down to RRG ED had no need to "pay out on the kickstarter rewards" The reason "ED\TFC had to warrant the kickstarter goals or face backlash and law suits" was because tjeir name is all over it. They are clearly stated as part of the "Joint venture" part of the "team". If they were not part of the kickstarter they should have stayed out of it if RRG "failed". Let RRG refund the money.
I am stunned that some folk still believe the ED/sithSPIN BS line about the fiasco when the truth is clear as day on the kickstarter page. ED forum is full of falsehoods and spin.

DCS Kickstarter
Wags July 2014 "In this July 2014 update, the primary news is in regards to the restructured backer rewards. After a careful review of the older system under RRG, we found it financially unattainable."
Wags October 2017 "the investment vs. generated revenue has been excellent for the World War II aircraft. In fact, the P-51D Mustang has twice the cost effectiveness of the A-10C Warthog."

Partially.....ED\TFC\Belsimtek's aircraft don't fall off moving decks, Razbam's Harrier does, and in some reported cases.....falls through the deck.

Hardly realistic when you crank up the weather to cyclonic\typhoon like conditions and yet you are still correct, the aircraft does not 'roll' off the deck. nor does the ship tilt at an angle that would cause aircraft IRL to slide from the carrier.

That needs to be improved....this is after all a simulator.

Trying to reproduce real world conditions during a hurricane is a fail and needs to be worked on before this can be passed off as a simulator. Combined arms during hurricane\cyclonic\typhoon like conditions does not re-produce the ammo fired from the abrams to sway of course. Hardly realistic if wind is a factor when it comes to ammo fired from ground vehicles. To put this into perspective, is hurricane\typhoon\cyclonic like winds having any bearing on missiles fired from aircraft under these conditions? I will record my findings with the awesome VEAFAIL hawk and report my findings to answer my question shortly.

Before people jump the gun here and ask "who would fly a combat mission in a typhoon(not the aircraft)\cyclone\hurricane" anyone who is looking to gain the upper hand on their enemy......to be battle ready....that would mean being able to attack the enemy in all weather conditions....including typhoons, hurricanes, cyclones, earth quakes etc etc

except that is not even close to being possible in real life

gusting crosswinds far in excess of what the aircraft can handle, complete impossibility of vtol capability even if the carrier heads directly into the wind, the 100% likelihood of KILLING dozens of deck crew who fall off or get swept off the deck

seems useless to be honest

sometimes it's hard to tell in this forum.

i do wish ED would pay more attention to the weather though. it is one of the more poorly developed aspects of the main engine, that and the radio navigation systems.

Just the weather? I wish ED would pay more attention to the roadmap, planning, development, integration, testing, quality control, quality assurance, release and communication.

What Paradaz is saying is that ED should learn to do things with a proper timeline, under better testing/QC conditions, and meet deadlines. It would not do anyone any good if ED did pay attention to the weather, only to release it 8 years later.
