"Hello All

We will be activating Version 4.53 on Steam. (should be up Friday February 16th)

Changes:

- Netcode improvements
- Addition of hi resolution cockpits for all aircraft
- Added drag for Hurricane and Bf-110 bombracks
- Correct gunsights for British types
- Changes to AI gunner effectiveness (less effective)
- Fix to allow Vehicles to be driveable
- Fix to reduce the range at which active AI gunners are being drawn by the game engine... fps saving
- Some small changes to the Sounds

Please note for those wanting to host servers:

The server will have a tendency to park cores... which will increase lag.

Changing the power options to "high performance", will improve performance considerably. Please check your server settings.

2nd note: Our Chief Coder is busy with Real Life concerns and does not have the time at the moment to address a few bugs... these will be fixed in a final version... but we wanted to get this out for the players.

- The driveable vehicles are now listed in the Quick Mission aircraft selection screen.

- There is some smoke in the cockpit when firing nose mount guns

- The AI gunners have been adjusted to suit Single Player preferences... we will be releasing an optional version later which will be tuned to Multiplayer preferences."

All good news

Not sure, after try this:

- Fix to allow Vehicles to be driveable
- The driveable vehicles are now listed in the Quick Mission aircraft selection screen.

The Plane Selection is polluted with enigmatic (for a casual SP player) vehicles names with a silhouette of an BI-1 (has this obscure 1941 Russian rocket fighter used by Germans or British in B of B?), try select a vehicle that I know are in the QM and nothing happens, I may ask:

CloD driveable vehicles has no interior, aiming need be done through awkward drag by mouse, bridges are impassable... At this stage the game really need another half-done/broken feature as novelty?

This will more hinder than help.

Agree.

If they can get proper DCS-style clouds going in this game it will hands down be the best WW2 sim going.

Then Spit V vs 109Fs over the channel.

Low intruder missions into France, etc. Brilliant.

Yeah, these guys are good. That Beaufighter is nicely done. They could have done a Spit v and 109F with their eyes closed. I'd love to see the sim brought up to the summer of 1941. Just before the 190. And clouds? I think they're pretty good. What do you see wrong with them?

I reckon they should abandon the North Africa idea and just work to improve and improve the channel map.

Better clouds etc, improve areas of France and ports.

Then slowly take the time frame out to 1941, 42, 43.

Think about it. Spit Vs. Early FW190s. 109F. The mustang mk1a. Early Typhoons.

Would be the bees knees of flight sims.

It definately would be. I can take or leave North Africa. I never get tired of flying across the Channel in WW2 flight simulators. Yeah, going in low and shooting up some trains in an early mark Mustang. It'd never get old. I wouldn't need another WW2 flight sim.
I wouldn't want to it take it too far, though. No long range bombing with Forts over Germany and P-51's. I like the idea of hopping across the Channel for a quick squirt at the Huns and then back for tea. I like keeping it small and personal.

Extend the French map out to Paris. Maybe some mosquito intruder missions?
