1. W.A.S.P. - Live...in the Raw (1987) - After their Sleaze Shock Rock beginnings you wouldn't suspect that their band leader Blackie Lawless relesead one of the best rock concept albums in form of The Crimson Idol (1992) and W.A.S.P.'s latests albums now can surprisingly categorized as Christian Heavy Rock.
2. Iron Maiden - Live After Death (1985) - The First album I bought (together with King Diamond's Them (1988))
3. Alice Cooper - The Alice Cooper Show (1977)
and
4. AC/DC - If You Want Blood You've Got It (1978) - We heard those two albums extensively during our formative years in the catholic youth group. Good times! Now I'm agnostic.
5. Deep Purple - Nobody's Perfect (1988) - The album to my first live concert experience.
Regarding the 1988 Monsters of Rock with the Scorpions and Metallica: The European edition of Metal Hammer heavy metal magazine brought a plus-sized article about the festival. One detail that stuck in my memory: Lars Ulrich or James Hetfield stated how much it meant to them to play with their heroes The Scorpions at Monsters of Rock. But they were really dissapointed that their show was the same every evening, every gig. No spontaneity, no deviations from the script, everytime the same choreography and lines.
