And yes, MarkG, that was me with the Jolly Rogers Tomcat Civic. I have since upgraded that Civic to a 2012 Jolly Rogers Tomcat Civic, heh. Good luck with your dog's liver problems. Vandy-1 also developed a liver issue from her chemo so they switched her chemo to something else then medicated, and now her liver is back to normal, phew.
Good memory!

Thanks, and you're going to have to show pics of your latest Jolly Rogers Tomcat Civic one day.
I miss our '99 Civic Si dearly (and our '89 CRX Si before that) but we needed something bigger (one-car family) and more dog friendly. It doesn't get more dog friendly than a Honda Element...

Hard to get clear pictures, Brandy still has a good bit of puppy in her. The dachshund in her really came out as she grew up. It'll be 2 years in a couple of days, she's been a good partner in crime.
She's got some energy, but otherwise a good couch potato and always ready for a nap.
7/2014, I found "Miata" under the hood of my car. We took her in. Started tiny, but 9 mos later she was about 16 lbs. One of the ditch cats in our neighborhood no one could catch, no telling how many generations have come and gone. She's definitely my daughter's cat, they hit it off pretty well.
I've always wanted a Civic Si, but could never justify the fuel cost...

She was a mess after being all up in the engine, but that's part of life for cats around here! They accept it, even if they don't care for it. I'm very allergic to cats. Being indoor cats and giving them a bath every now and then, I do fine now. I just don't let them on my pillow or anything that will be around my face. Scratches welt up and itch, but that's rare and no big deal.
I've updated my last pics on this thread a few posts up (bad links to attachments).
Several years ago a SimHQ member posted these pics, but I don't remember who it was (maybe they'll speak up if they're still around)...

They can be, but only on their terms and schedule. LOL
Exactly.
It has been many years since I was owned by a cat but the thing I remember most was that he treated me as a servant. If I rolled a ball across the floor, at a time when he was not interested, he just looked at me as if to say 'You ARE going to go get that, right, because I sure as **** am not!!!"

Yep! As the joke goes:
A cat says, “You pet me, you feed me, you shelter me, you love me, I must be God.”
A dog says, “You pet me, you feed me, you shelter me, you love me, you must be God.”
Must have been a dog in her past life Alicatt. Most cats aren't that social.

Funny that, it was the subject of conversation over breakfast this morning as to whether she was a dog or a cat I'm having a rare moment just now when she is not sitting close to me. My wife is a bit jealous and is always trying to lure the cat away from me ... Hmmm I see why she is leaving me at peace, she has dragged the floor mop from the laundry into the lounge ... back in a minute... Aye she is attacking things in the laundry just now.
The speed at which she comes running at when you whistle on her - she must have a lot of wind resistance with all that hair she is only just starting to associate "Rossi" with me calling on her, she is different, yesterday I was playing that old youtube video of one cat scolding the other ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1L8gnpQB8GQ ) and she came into the room hair all standing on end looking for the angry cat, I put the video on the 50" tv and she watched it for a few seconds then jumped up behind it looking for the other cat, and then stalked off when she couldn't find it.
Yesterday she was never more than about a meter away from me, she can be quite clingy and we wonder if it was because she was abandoned when she was younger. She is free to come and go and can leave if she wants to, she will be made welcome as long as she wants to stay with us.
One thing she does that I have never had another cat do is she will wrap her front paws around my arm and squeeze hard, and I mean as hard as she can until her muscles are trembling with the effort and then rub her face (scent glands?) against my arm, she is not using her claws and not trying to scratch me tho she does do that as well when she is playing but then she is biting as well and she dosn't hold on so tight.
Honest it is MY seat! 4kg ball of fluff with a cat attached

My Dad had a "Dog-Cat" as well, and even the new one tends a bit into the same behaviour. They will ignore Mom and even more us kids, but can't get enough cuddling time with him. Beats me why.
