I'm looking at various mid-priced rudder pedals to complement my Warthog HOTAS. It also occurred to me that rudder pedals would be useful for FPS games, for, say, the Lean Left/Right function. I don't think most FPS allow for joystick/throttle/rudder axes input, So, I assume that, to use them in FPS, a rudder would need to be able to output keyboard or mouse button commands. Does anyone know if the Saitek or Thrustmaster rudder pedals allow this? Or is there some easy workaround?

Thanks.

Easy, use pedal manufacturer programming software and set rudder axis to send keypress in their movement for left (0-50%) and in the movement for right (51-100%), same for brakes axes if want.

But even the small/simple Joy2Key keymapper do this trick - without "collateral effects" like this heavy soft used by brands (SST, Target) may cause or Win10 issues (Manager), I use this in ARMA3.

Thanks, guys. I completely forgot that you can convert axis output into keyboard output in TARGET. Does anyone know if the Logitech pedals come with software that allow you to do this? Their documentation doesn't say.

Logitech SST can do it, though nowhere near as well as TARGET

You can probably also do this with Joystick Gremlin http://whitemagic.github.io/JoystickGremlin/
