A tip that may help a bit deal with one of CloD major flaws, when a fighter ignore other fighter near, and even fighter firing at their six - example in that QM - Dogfighter - Allies Advantage, in what the bounced row of G.50 continue flying stead with player firing in their six.

Happens they are flying a "NORMALLFY" waypoint leg, when they are "blind", only will react when reach the waypoint "ATTACK FIGHTERS"* - this require changes in AI code - maybe "in the future".

For now, what the mission maker can do is, instead use "NORMALFLY" use "HUNTING" waypoint, this improve (a bit) their reaction when attacked, and if a enemy appear in their front they try a bounce and run away (like Geman aces in BoB).

This can be not a big issue for A flights, that follow the mission "script", but became when player don't follow mission "script", specially when pursuit planes in RTB.

* This specific attack task, ATTACK FIGHTERS, ATTACK BOMBERS... create problem too, a group of fighters with task ATTACK BOMBERS ignore fighters near.

I think that for 5.0 TF should priorize improve this AI, just add map, new planes and "War Thunder" fires rolleyes will not create a new game, will be just "more of the same old CloD". nope

Hi Sokol1 thanks for tip

I read about that problem from your previous posts about AI behavior in CloD so i had that in my mined when i was checking misions and testing them, and i try to use hunting option for flights, after and before areas where i wont them to fight, and it works like you say.
Mostly in some case i didnt used it is when i wonted to avoid enemy single engine fighters to attack player in Beufighter as that would be to hard for player so i used attack bombers or normal flight in thouse situations insted hunting, and player can then decde if he wonts to engage enemy single engine fighters without them bathering him when he has other tasks.

For example in mission Escort Blenheims, i used hunnting at first for both 110s flights(now its only for one), but i had problem of 2nd 110s flight ingnoring bombers then, and i wonted them to just go for bombers. First flight was ok with hunting option as they agresivly go for player and player AI for them, but then i try attack bombers option on second flight, and they didnt go for bombers, and only when i left all at normal flight i noticed that 2nd flight 110s will go for bombers, so in that case i left it as it is, one flight hunting and one on normal flight options, as that was only way to acomplish what i wonted.Also sometimes i avoid escort options as escort fighters would not react always.

That was some strange situations, as i remenber reading your posts about this problem and better to use hunting option, even after they go home so they defend them self. You will notice i try to use this in most missions for fighter flights, if you see some place where i could change it to hunting from your expiriance i can fix that in missions.

There are some situations where i wont for example hurri flight to just go for bombers so attack bombers task is great, but then after that task i would change to hunting, and same for Spits for example, they would have attack fighters to ignor bombers and then after to hunting, so they can defend in case some one goes for them when they rtb, or i just send them off map like they go to base thats not in map area.

Yes i also hope TFS will get some AI fix, even before 5 patch. As for now it takes a lot of work to get from them what you wont.

I had problems with AI not lisening to ground attack target option when attacking bases, i would task them to attack static airplanes, and put to do 2 or 3 pass max, but i noticed they always just do one pass (destroy one static airplane) and ignore comands and just go home. They lissen to that pass comands only when attacking columns then they do exactly number of passes i put for them in waypoints, so to have more then pone pass from AI on airbases you will see that i use parked flights of airplanes that i putt to just sit on base, in thouse situation then i have this multiple attack on base by AI, in 46 it worked differant i could just select static airplane as target and they would attack untill they destroy all airplanes of that type, here it seams its just one pass on exact target and thats it.

Feel free to do whatever you want with them Murph, or anyone else.
You can also post them with your edit or changes if you wont, or use what ever parts you like in them for any other missions.

I like to fly with a few squad mates hosting converted missions in dogfight mode, works better than co-op. I'll be sure to give credit if I ever post them for download.

Ok nice. In 46 i was also playing some SP missions in coop with mates, was fun. I like how in clod your able to switch from AI to AI and take control of that airplane if you wont.

After the last couple of Blitz updates, your Beaufighter missions are still in my Blitz Missions folder, but no longer show up in the game to fly. Will miss them! Anyone else have this problem?

Was planing to check how they run on new update to see if landing AI beaufighters behave better, but still didnt have time to update game to 4.53 (was playing more boX latley), i will see if they will work ok when i update, dont know any reason why they should not show up

Do you see them when you open your Full Mission builder in Extra, and select Single folder in it?
