So, I run to the grocery and pick 3 or 4 quart cans of the red stuff. We had no place to do this outdoors, so we put him in the tub/Jacuzzi in the master bath, which was all white tile. He didn't like it one bit, and of course every time we'd get him soaked down in tomato juice, he'd slip loose and run around the bath shaking the juice everywhere.

Our white bathroom looked like we slaughtered a pig or something, but believe it or not the juice worked. There was still a skunk smell, but not nearly as strong and after we got the juice washed off it was a even better. He finally settled down, and we put him in the laundry room for the night, By the next day, the odor was much fainter and we put him outside for the day. We figured he knew to avoid skunks from then on. Anyway, now you know what to do if one of your animals has a run in with a skunk.

Cheers

Puts me in mind of the tale my neighbour related of the 'poor cat' he adopted in similar walk-in circumstances as Alicatt experienced.
On a village get-together, a street party for the Queen's 90th, on chatting with other villagers it came to light that this 'poor cat' had been 'adopted' by at least five other families.

To show it's gratitude, the dear thing left half a mouse on his pillow for him to wake up to in the morning. On awakening Ian screamed, leapt out of bed and slipped on the other half.

But your heart is in the right place Alicatt, even if the dear moggie is a con artist!

Oh moggies are all con artists!

She was hunting a mouse she found under an old tile in the garden never caught it tho, it managed to escape into a pile of bricks, she guarded that pile for hours waiting for the mouse to come out, ah bless.

Well we have given her a name, it is a bit of a play on words, here in Flemish a red head is called a ros and as both my son and I are fans of Valentino we have chosen Rossi as her name smile

Yep. She is going to be a big girl.

I had one that loved to follow the moving letters, on the screen, while I typed.

When I married my wife, I inherited two cats, and since then we've acquired two more. This is three of them - the mackerel tabby is one I picked out - he isn't the smartest of the bunch, suffice it to say. The Korat loves to beg for my food (especially when it involves meat), and the orange tabby loves climbing things and getting into cabinets.

As I sit here, she is sitting behind my monitor and I'm in fear of getting my fingers ripped apart, she loves to play a game where my moving fingers on the keyboard are the target...
