Probably one of the best movies I've seen all year.

Watched 'Schindler's List" Last night I don't think any movie moved me as much as that one had wet eyes constantly through out it

Watch "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas".

It is a must see, once. I won't watch it again.

Rare exports. À silly movie from Finland where Santa Clause is based on a old legend where bad kids are snatched to be eaten on Christmas Eve.

Why is that? I liked it very much and Stephen Lang was brilliant as Stonewall Jackson.

Yeah, that's an absolute classic and definitely not a first date movie!

That's the film where I first discovered Ralph Fiennes. What an amazing actor.

I thought this movie was very entertaining, it's like Avatar but less boring. Never expected that because I wasn't a huge fan of the 5th Element (the visuals were good but the story sucked).
Although heavily critisized, I thought the main leads were excellent. Sadly this movie tanked and we will most likely never see a sequel, just like with Dredd. frown

Has anyone seen 'Darkest Hour' yet? It opened yesterday. I'm looking to catch it tomorrow or over the next few days.

Watch "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas".

It is a must see, once. I won't watch it again.

I'm not at all sure about that recommendation. It is a very 'odd' story.

The message I took from it was that a bunch of Jews, Poles and other undesirables were eliminated, but that the death of the Nazi commandant's son through stupidity and naivete was a tragedy.

I was aware that there was a controversy about the book, and after reading it (it was a set book at my daughter's school), I am unusually going to side with the Rabbi's who took offence at it.

Schindler's List is a far better and more moving story.

I'd suggest the 2001 movie with Kenneth Branagh - "Conspiracy", or films such as "The Reader" or alternate history "Fatherland" over TBitSP.

The Holocaust is a horrific story that people should be reminded of. Seeing it through the eyes of children is exceptionally moving.

That "nazis' son" was every bit as innocent as anyone in the concentration camp, how is that difficult to understand???

Wife and I went to see Darkest Hour Tuesday night. If your a WW2 history buff, I believe you will like it. I have one complaint, but will withhold it until others have seen it.
