Anyone have any experience with recent LP to CD conversion software?

Goldwave comes up frequently, anyone use it? Use/recommend something else?

I have about 150-200 LP albums, almost all classical, many of which I would like to transfer to CD, with some "pop" "snap" "crackle" elimination capability included.

I had a fairly good ap from SONY a few years ago, but it is no longer supported and will absolutely not work with WIN10/64.

In the earlier days I used a tool to record directly from AudioIn, cut and edit the resulting WAV in Creative WaveLabs (or was it called WaveStudio?), batch convert and label to the resulting mp3s with another software which worked with TAGs and kept a database for you.
Pain in the ass and reason why I'm still not finished recording my vinyl collection.
Nowadays I use (in Steam) this audio cleaning and recording tool: MAGIX Audio Cleaning Lab 2014. No recommendation from me because its GUI is still too complicated. But it is a one-in-all-solution that works, has filters (with presets if you wish), and there is a new version about which I can't say anything.

It would be a shame if you don't use a lossless compression format, CDs are not the best option for music, go digital storage.

Adorante, the program you mentioned is pretty much the SONY branded program I used lo these many years ago. But the new version is, well, a new version! but operates pretty much the same.

I've tried Audacity a few times but there is no help as to how to use it to record/clean up LP recordings. I downloaded the free trial version of GoldWave. Pretty complex for my little brain. Besides, Magix is the only program to actually record anything.

Aullido, I'm making some CDs for friends from their albums they can no longer play ( I have a pretty good turntable and pre-amp, most people do not.) Not sure "lossless" is available, or even necessary. What I've done so far (actually not very much) sounds pretty good to me.

Anyway thanks for all the suggestions and help!
