IL2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover - Blitz Edition relaunch video

So here is the relaunch video for IL2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover - Blitz Edition which will be available on Steam as soon as the final round of Beta testing is completed.

IL2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover - Blitz Edition the new name for Cliffs of Dover with the v4.5 TFS update included smile

Completely free if you have already purchased Cliffs of Dover and included with any purchase of Cliffs of Dover after it is re-released.

Since 1C Game Studios gave Team Fusion Simulations (TFS) access to the Source Code earlier this year, TFS have been fixing bugs, adding new content and preparing the software for re-release on Steam of v4.5 now known as Blitz Edition.

There is, it is fair to say, still work to do and over the coming months we will be creating our first paid for expansion (v5.00) which will include many new aircraft and a complete new Theatre of Operations, that being the North Africa campaign.

We are still working hard to cram last-minute features and fixes into the software in preparation for it's upcoming re-release, the date of which will be announced shortly once final beta testing is complete (currently well underway).

Here's the video:

Finally we'd also appreciate it if you would spread the word and be part of our Facebook community which can be found here:

Cheers, MP/TFS

That would be Awesome, but as most say,"Get it right as much as possible regardless of time frame!"
I have always thought that there is so much untapped potential in CLOD. I really can't wait to see where
TFS takes it. I am really looking forward to 4.5 whenever it gets here. Hoping for ---> CT

But really want twoweeks Such is Human Nature, always impatient. winkngrin

Amazing work!
Just one question. Right now, Cliffs is only able to deal with 6 USB devices. Is this going to be improved? For people like me that have a mix cockpit for flight and simracing with a lot of USB devices its a pain in the ass to plug and unplug the correct devices everytime I want to fly COD, and not to talk about configuration.

So would anyone mind filling me in on what has been improved versus vanilla and the previous ATAG version of Cliffs of Dover, so I know what I should be excited about?

The most important achievement of this patch is how the terrain is rendered at distance, no more distortion making South England rivers looks like Amazon river, and now fly through trees (a common "cheater online) cause damage to planes.
The overall look of terrain seems better in the videos.

Some new planes variants, like of Bf 110, Blenheim, and the existing AI Beaufigher is now player flyable with correct cockpit, plus two ... "fantasy" armed (MG) Tiger Moth, that may fit in that "fantasy" Isle of Doom map.

And dozens and dozens of "under hood" fix, in engines, FM, DM, etc.

But not all is good new, this kind of "War Thunder like" new fire and smoke effects is IMO inferior to fires in original CloD or previous TF patches. But as people like "Hollywood" things (effects like Red Tails, Fly Boys...) should please some. smile

Just don't expect big news in the Single Player aspect of the game, AI, commands, missions ... will continue the same "old CloD". wink

For all the reasons you mention and a few of my own. I will not be getting the Blitz, I’ll continue with the original release and the first patch. I’m a off line guy and so no commands available, mide as well just fly for the beauty and explosions of the original sim. My wing man does very well even without orders. I do hope that it is widely received and liked.
