Last option for me. The last physical album I bought was either MUSE:The Resistance (2009) or Caro Emerald:Scenes From a Cutting Room Floor (2009).
Digital I'm not sure, certainly none over the last 12 months.
YouTube is where I go for mine now.

I bought a Loverboy CD for the airport, as I saw it at Dollar General for three bucks. One never knows what music will come out of the Nieuport hangar's boom box. Could be salsa, could be bluegrass, could be '80's pop... I'll pick up songs on iTunes now and then.

I bought Depeche Mode's "Spirit" CD earlier this year because I'm also a sucker for all the deluxe edition stuff. Same with "Purple Rain". But after I ripped the CDs, I haven't played them since.

A sort of strange case for me. I usually buy several albums in a year's time, and spend a good bit relaxing and listening. But the last year things have been different, maybe more busy or something. I've bought no albums, and actually spent very little time listening.

I selected 2-5, when I find a group I like like Shinedown I buy the disk. The quality is so much better than digital from Apple I feel, then I'll put them on my phone because far too many times when I'm up North in NH/ME or VT there are no decent radio stations and forget streaming...

More than 5. I'm a sucker for the $5.00 or less Walmart CD bargain bins, shuffling around looking for that rare gem that I don't already have.
With a few exceptions, I have a cutoff date for music of around 1995 (more like 1989 for music I listen to on a regular basis), my favorite still being 70's to early 80's. So I pretty much have everything I want, although I still find the occasional gem that I missed back in the day (recently some Kansas and Fixx).
My '95 cutoff isn't just because I felt music had changed for the worst, but because my life also began sucking and being that I have such a strong association with music and life events, I wasn't feeling it. I couldn't listen to the old stuff anymore either, the memories would only depress me thinking how things use to be, so I put music aside for the most part. Early 40's things changed and I became interested again, but I think too much time had gone by to embrace the new, to catch up, so I went back to the old stuff which now makes me feel really good. There's so much of it, plus the undiscovered, that I could never get bored with my massive CD (and MP3) collection, not in the remainder of my lifetime.

I just happened to see The Black Keys "El Camino" CD at Walmart a few months ago and had to have it. One of my recent favorite bands.
