I knew you would like it. I see about 10 to 15 concerts a year and this Roger Waters show is high on the list of the best I have seen.

Glad you had a great time, WT! Since you have such a strong opinion about concert spoilers, I'll give you my equally strong *opposite* opinion... Especially with big name 'oldies' acts, I need to see: a) current setlist (usually not 100% accurate anyway, but a general idea [ratio of old vs. new material]). b) biography/background of current band members (unless a solo act). c) video proof that the performance will meet my expectations (just a couple of songs will do). This criteria determines how much money (if any) I'm willing to spend, especially if a ticket is over $50.00 (including fees). I've turned down shows that failed at each one of those. Glad it worked out for you, I'd think Roger should be a safe bet.

I can't disagree with MarkG. However, though the set list for Roger Waters did tell me that it was likely to be a good show, I had my tickets well before the tour had started so the information did not impact my purchase. Same goes for YouTube. There was nothing to see when I bought my tickets.
Tickets went on sale over a year prior to the concert date.

I saw Roger in Minneapolis...loved the music...loathed the politics. It really brought it down for me...to the point that I wouldn't walk across the street to see him for free now. Very sad.

I suppose I “was” a cool Dad. Took my then 13 year old daughter to see KMFDM up in Seattle Halloween of 2008. Saw Combichrist there as well and it was I’m pretty sure the first time my daughter ever saw a naked man. Got hauled up on stage by Sasha’s then girlfriend and just generally had a blast. Got a ticket on the way back here to Tigard and then proceeded to eat at the selfsame Denny’s as the ticketing officer. Probably set a pattern for our future concerts although I don’t generally get tickets nowadays. Plus she works here for her Mother and I so we don’t get out to concerts much anymore. But for about 4 years or so we saw Combichrist a bunch of times, enough to where I’m personal friends with the drummer. Just don’t have time for concerts and rock and roll shows anymore.
And I agree re. Roger, wonderful talent but a bit political. Makes him not everyone’s cuppa. But as far as his work give radio KHAOS a spin, a bit dated perhaps but a very solid album unlike many of his others.
