I only use my MS FF2 stick and love it. There is no other stick as well made and providing FFB at this price range. I would buy another one without question. You can PM me with any detailed questions you might have.

They're no longer made are they? Got one in my basement in "war reserve," They are still available in the after market. There are always some coming available on ebay. Some new in package and some used.

I still have mine, but does the FF work with anything now? I thought the game/SIM had to be compliant for it to work... also... how are you interfacing the serial jack to USB? I bought one of those serial to USB converters for my old CH Products Mach II. Will it work for the M$ stick? OvS

OV my FFB2 stick is version two with USB connector an I can tell you the FFB effect in WOFF applies to guns firing, stick shaker when landing, and incremental force applied in turns due to ailerons and flaps and rudder.
Hope that helps.
Oh, and you can tune the response up or down by making a mod of the FM files, after altering the FFB characteristics in those files.

Because the whole FFB function has been reduced, it shakes you out of the chair when firing a gun, for the rest it is just a rumble force, if it picks up the signal, becaus it is not always constant. Check the Rof forum and notice I’m not the only one and it is not depending on only MS-FFB2 sticks, also the Logitech Gserie does have the same problem. Old hardware like MS-FFB2 is not supported by Woff, is the anwer from OBD. My solution is buying a non-FFB hall sensor joystick, game is to good to being spoilt by not decent working FFB.

Recently aquired a new in box MS FF2 Red version!
Been attempting to use it for couple days now , more like troubleshooting. Inputs work perfectly and i've not had an issue key-mapping it within WOFF's workshop. I've tested the it in RoF and it worked without issue. The sensor seems to detect the beam is cut right up until the loading splash that actually launches the WOFF engine then it's as if FF dies. I've ensured the FF option is checked in Workshop.
Suggestions?
Regards, That's a new one to me. I have never had this problem but it sounds like a config thing in your WOFF. I don't have an answer for you at the moment as mine is having no problem before or after WOFF launch. Check that sidewinder is selected in the WOFF "remap keys / controllers" section of the workshop.

Old hardware like MS-FFB2 is not supported by Woff, is the anwer from OBD. My solution is buying a non-FFB hall sensor joystick, game is to good to being spoilt by not decent working FFB. My recommendation is to not break the beam when firing guns or landing and that solves the problem of extreme vibration of the stick. Those two features are not adjustable in the sim. Just hold the stick in the groove between thumb and first finger and do not wrap the fingers around the stick and this will temporarily disable FFB for shooting and landing.

Check that sidewinder is selected in the WOFF "remap keys / controllers" section of the workshop. Verified it is the joystick listed in WOFF remap keys/controllers section. Going to try and un-install the drivers then re-connect. I did attempt to mess with running the exe's with compatibility mode / administrator but with no effect.

So just had a successful attempt in Campaign mode! I'd been trying it only in QC just to test it. Finally decided to try it on Camp and it works! It didn' last long however as just after takeoff the engine on my DIII lost power and I had to force land just outside the field hehe. The resistance on flight was very subtle but i Could feel it. the gunfire was very obvious, as was the landing. Exciting Well, it should also work in QC because mine does. I also use my hand control trick to mitigate FFB when landing because it shakes the hell out of the stick.
