So after months and months of refusing to update my DCS World, I let it update.

And it sucks.

The whole scenery now is like I'm staring into the Sun. It's too bright. Too hazy. It washes the HUD out.

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks in advance.

Way over in Perth, Western Aus...
You could try Barthek's GTM 10 - I use it and think it is very good, and for me I actually find it easier to pick out ground targets.

Some people have complained that it looks too green, but I like it.

Here is a tip, uninstall it, save the HD space and install Xplane 11.

He's possibly talking about deferred shading? People never specify which of the 3 builds they're talking about.

I bought almost all the modules up to the M2000, but uninstalled DCS World after another useless update about half a year ago gave me erratic random pauses during gameplay for no reason at all, after it was running smooth like butter before (and I'm not talking about the update that upped the default settings, but one sometime after that).

I'm now flying Flaming Cliffs 2 and A-10C Warthog stand alone. Saves me lots of HD space, too. ED can go and **** themselves.

In DCS itself, System>Options. It's one of the few graphical options which can be changed in the 3D environment runtime. It's in the 2.X version only found in the Open Alpha branch so far.

Oops. I actually looked for this option in both of my DCSs- and it was not there. ...
