These have almost become obligatory for us WWI guys, so here's my very short walk around video.

Bert Sparrow's is better. But so is his workmanship!

Fantastic video Dart. What an awesome achievement to make such a beautiful replica.

Wow, she looks better than she ever did !
That is a proud builder behind that cam and oh yes, you can be :-P

Can't wait to hear that WV engine purring once again.

I believe you may have forgotten to mount that little rear mirror you had at one point, nope ?
Very vintage it was !

Cheers,
Slug

Great job. A pleasure to watch. If I read correctly it said a 7/8ths scale. Is there a huge difference in parts and work and size for that matter than a full scale? I'm guessing it is but just curious and please forgive my ignorance. Beautiful plane. cheers

Yep, need to remount the mirror. It's actually really useful and I missed having it on the flight.

7/8 scale is a huge savings in material and weight, opening up alternative engines like the VW. The cost of the engine goes from the 20-30K USD range down to the 3 to 5k USD range!

The trade off is that smaller, lighter planes also mean that they become fair weather birds. Indeed, she's really just a fat ultralight when it comes down to it.
