Check these guys, I know some went also here. http://SimHQ.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4309461/vr-support#Post4309461

On the other hand HTC did only sell 140.000 worldwide in 2016 and still no VR support for the huge selling games like Battlefield1/fifa2017/CoD, suspect this an sign that it will fade away like 3D gaming.

Some people igonre the HTC VIVE / RIFT, because of the price
I don't know, you may be right with " suspect this an sign that it will fade away like 3D gaming "
But i guess, VR with WW 1 aircrafts, would be the best immersion, by far..

Yep 5 mil from Samsung and the rest Sony p4 VR I guess! Until there is no decent sales figures about VR from OR and HTC, guess here we are talking about, I keep being critical about the high end VR future. If something is good it will come in mass and we do see lots of other companies who do want a piece of the high end VR cake.
Still think, it will be the mobile phone AR that does have the future, combine the real/digital world. We did see something at the Pokemon hype and Lenovo Tango. As a sample why not play Battlefield in the woods only using google glass and your mobile phone.

That does not leave that VR is indeed a mega immersion factor and if Rof/Woff does support this, I'm going to get it, but is it intresting for OBD to invest labor in this VR while stil using the old modded to direct9 game engine from CFS3. This answer is only to judge by OBD I think.
Do not get this as critsm on your topic, but maybe the VR support answer is from 3th party software makers or modders and not from OBD.

Just to clarify currently WOFF uses DirectX9 via the DLL created by AnKor.

I'm still planning to try coding a proper VR support for WOFF (3rd party, I'm not affiliated to OBD in any way, and free assuming that I can make it work), but who knows when I'll actually be able to. My intention was to get back to it in September - but here we are, September 1 and I'm barely able to launch any flight sim for more than 15min between nappies and everything baby related, so I think I'll need to revise that and be a bit more realistic: it will be great if I can do anything this year...

At the IFA the next gen VR sets will be introduced by Acer, Asus, Lenovo, HP and Dell.

Did read on aDutch website, about 300,- euro for an VR set, higher screen resolution, better screen, no need of external beakens and could even work with the low entry GTX1050.

Still not any sign from the big selling game studios like Battlefield1 or CoD studios.

I've casually looked into this. Seems the PS4VR headset might work to some extent. I'ld love WOFF and Skyrim in VR. Yes I know Skyrim is coming out in VR but I need my modded pc version and Vilja.

Jeff, You "play" with Vilja? Nothing unusual there. I watch youtube livefeeds and find that I have my own style as well. One of the things that makes Skyrim great and and long lasting. I see you are from Wisconsin, ever been to Hudson?
