Amputation tends to solve these problems, may want to take a look at it.
But like the guy who first replied mentioned, if its not related to medicines you are taking, making exercises like 3 hours before sleep or during the day helps with it,avoiding caffeine and tobacco too..

I don't smoke and haven't had a drink in months other than a glass of wine a couple weeks ago. No particular reason, just part of what I'm trying to do these days. I'm able to workout in early afternoon. I tried using my TENS device on the worse leg, the right one. Not sure if it really helps or just automates tensing up. LOL
Hasn't been as bad the last few nights.
I appreciate all of the suggestions. Got some pickles, I'll give it a go next time it gets bad.

I do occasionally suffer from RLS.
I found eating something about an hour before bed time helped
That and a hot shower. if its really bad .

Saw the doc today and asked him about it and any ideas outside of meds.
Some familiar advice! He said to eat some dill pickles, but not drink the juice so much. Salt is still a concern, don't want to over do this.
He mentioned working in more regular yellow mustard in my diet. No problem. Should've asked about the grainier, spicy mustard that I prefer.
Also said I might want to look into a post-workout supplement that contains tumeric(?) and circumen(?). May have those spelled wrong, I haven't pulled it up yet.
I didn't ask about the get-some-lovin' fix, I think we can all just accept that as a cure all. thumbsup

edit
*turmeric and curcumin are the proper spellings.
