Great singer, wide range, and lyrics many of us could relate to.

I know of "Linkin Park" by name only (the two videos above are the first songs I've listened to) but read a couple of summaries of this guy's life story. A tortured soul at 41, battling some wicked demons from his childhood. RIP.

++++++++++

On a related note, at the end of this article is a slideshow of celebrities we lost this year (some mentioned here recently)...
Linkin Park Frontman Chester Bennington Found Dead of Apparent Suicide

I had no idea that Judge Wapner, original judge on "The People's Court" had died.

Gives way and suddenly it’s day again
The sun is in the east
Even though the day is done
Two suns in the sunset, hmph
Could be the human race is run

Interesting how he sang a song in tribute to Chris Cornell, who died of hanging, and he himself takes his life the same way shortly after.

The saddest part of this whole deal is that he had 6 kids. I guess his problems with drugs and alcohol were more powerful than his desire to live for his kids.

been a fan of Linkin Park more of their earlier stuff, I knew New Divide was a theme song for a Transformer movie, I just realized they had transformers in their earlier songs too, saw them in Somewhere I Belong

from Metreora album
Somewhere I belong

other good well known songs
Breaking the Habit

Pushing Me Away from Hybrid Theory

it's sad when people cut their lives short, especially you have all the means to get help... I've been in a deep dark place before and if I didn't reach out I wouldn't have my 2 boys today and I thank God everyday for pulling me out...

Sad. Being an aging Rock Star must be tough. I am being serious, not sarcastic.

Seems to be a very stark contrast between the ones who die young(ish), and those who make you wonder how on earth they've made it to old age.

In PM's defense, I'm a fan and I sometimes miss that one too. smile Also, with "Brian" Adams (probably thanks to Family Guy) and "Stealy" Dan. Ouch.
