its not about jammer or somthing else ! i guess they doesnt had 11s switch for attack to jamer targets !
be aware that they used from sa-2C and we used sa-2F

of course this is my guess ... maybe im wrong maybe im close to truth !

It happens that I didn't use SA-2-s for long time ago before doing my experiment.... Of course, it is not like doing a mission for a first time... wink

By 1972 the US were using modulated noise jamming, which looks like this.

No jamming.

Okay, that's from an SA-3 not an SA-2, but the idea is the same.

Modulated noise jamming makes multiple moving bands of jamming, not a single thick one. That makes it virtually impossible to know exactly the angles to the target.

I´ve been practicing a lot the first lybian scenario with s-125

This is my best result so far (i find this scenario extremely difficult, to achieve some results any given day i have to practice it a lot before getting something, and i find almost impossible to get your snr surviving after some shots).

Operation El-Dorado Canyon raid against Benghazi. S-125M1 Neva

2 A-7 corsair kills
1 hit on a-6 intruder.
SNR survives

Same scenario with sa-2e volhov.
Again the same principles as with neva (keeping illuminating-firing-detonation cycle time to a minimum < 10 secs). No "flashing car bug" (as it only works with dvina) was used.

Operation El-Dorado Canyon raid against Benghazi.
2 x a-7e corasir II kills
2 x f/a-18 kills

True, but it´s also true IMO that after playing this scenario over and over again p-12/p-18 is not that important...

IMO this demonstrates, that we can outscore easily real life performances mainly because after playing thse scripted scenarios 1000 times, you know pretty much everything about what the enemy is doing without effort...

That is why scenario editor will be awesome. We can all create hypothetical situations and share them between us. Every time you open SAMsim situation will be different. biggrin I, personally, cant wait...

A funny situation biggrin 2 missiles against SEAD planes, SNR off after first one hit (second still on the way) and then..a blind hit on A-6! Anyone could explain how it happened? My lock was on A-7, I am sure of that.
