She looks awesome and flies well too - I just wish the AI wouldn't try to go in a turn fight all the time because it makes dogfighting anything else too easy in the Spitfire (especially those dumb BF109 who just go straight into the tighest turn they can pull)

I'm tempted to download this game again, now that I have a new puter. The last time I played this game I was getting single digit framerates.. Now I expect triple digits. lol

Have you never played Battle of Britain 2 from A2A? 1 vs 1 AI is pretty darn good. I have flown the Spit and the 109. IIRC, the Spit has to work pretty hard to beat the smartest AI 109, while the 109 is a little bit easier to fly against the best AI Spit. Massive single player missions with tons of bombers, escorts, and interceptors are simply breathtaking. I am disappointed that they didn't apply the same upgrades/fixes to MiG Alley and that they never produced the planned P-40 AVG / Burma version of BoB2.

Yeah I know, it really baffles me, especially given that my job is basically to study and model insect behaviour - something that amounts to implementing a swarm AI if you want - and I don't get why gaming is so far behind when it comes to AI and behaviour modeling. Apart from pathfinding algorithms noone seems to have spent much time working on other aspects of AI, and yet it wouldn't be rocket science to implement a richer AI pilot behaviour than what we usually get in combat flight sims (except for BOB indeed)

And that's a good point, If BOB can do it other sims should as well
