Last night, a female friend, upon hearing that I have 8 pairs of shoes, said that I should be a woman because most guys she knows only have one pair. Now, maybe most of the guys she knows are from Namibia, Myanmar, or Sudan, because even the most hillbilly of hillbillies I knew in the army had more than 1 pair of shoes, and that's not counting their issued footwear. So, how many pairs of shoes do you have? Post what types you have if you want to explain your numbers. I have:

1) 1 pair Carolina steel toe work boots
2) 1 pair Salomon trail runners
3) 1 pair Keen Voyageur hiking shoes
4) 2 pair Asolo Fugitive GTX hiking boots
5) 1 pair Keen Koven Polar cold weather hiking boots
6) 1 pair Sorel Conquest extreme cold weather boots
7) 1 pair Asolo Alta Via GV mountaineering boots
ETA 8) 1 pair old running shoes I keep for nighttime nature calls when I'm camping.

1. Generic running shoes (daily wear when out of the house)
2. Deck shoes (comfort wear when outdoors at home)
3. Steel-toe lace up leather work boots (for things that need them)
4. Summer house shoes
5. Winter house shoes

1. Trainers (wear every day).
2. Best pair of shoes (black,lace-up) Not worn very often.
3. I have a pair of motorcycle boots but they've been retired for some while,buried in a cupboard.

I think I have 5 pairs? One pair of sandals, one pair of sneakers and 3 sets of either brown/black shoes that I wear for work

1- heavy winter boots
2- spring/autumn/ mild winter boots
3- New/ clean summer DC shoes
4- used summer DC shoes
5- classy black shoes
6- male flipflop

I can definitely understand men who live in areas with harsh winters having more pairs of shoes than what is typical.

dang.... if I counted flip flops I would have been over the top.

Lots of shoes, but at the same time, I rarely buy shoes. LOL
Half of them are for outdoors, fishing etc. That comes with the territory.

I have 6 pairs of shoes and 17.8 unmatched individual shoes.

Shoes - Funeral / Wedding pair. Steely boots. Badminton trainers. Falling apart trainers for gardening. Tidier trainers for work. Even tidier trainers waiting to go into the rotation. Thongs (for the Aussies). Treasured Ariat cowboy boots from my ranch holiday last year. Green wellies.

Favourite = ski boots cos if I'm wearing them it's the best of times.
