Didn't help that it opened against Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Yup. Both films were largely targetting the male demographic and King Arthur lost that battle big time.

Was this King Arthur movie done in a more "realistic" tone or handled in that way or was it something more fantasy or was it something like "Ladyhawke?" I couldn't tell by the movie trailer because of the music being used in the advertisements. , I would call it a King Arthur Origin Action Movie with the action driven by heavy beat music in the action parts, which there is alot of action. It's one of the few movies lately, including Transformers Last Knight, I didn't fall asleep during.

It was Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in a crappy fantasy version. And the swede playing the viking chief is a real coke-head in real life

IMHO, this reinterpretation of the Arthurian legend was a complete waste of time and money. Nothing will ever out-do "Excalibur" by John Boorman. Nothing. I agree. Wheels

poor charlie.. suppose to be hot coming off of SOA... It's his second strike. He also burned in Pacific Rim - although I secretly love that movie. He is redoing "Papillon" at the moment. I do not see him improving upon Steve McQueen's performance. Wheels

HAHAHAAHAH nobody tops Steve... NOBODY.. like the scene where he is doing 2 years in solitary.. then they want the name of his friend... then after a few times he still refuses.. then gets put on half rations.. then they try one last time and not only uses his ill health and appearance but at the same time spoofs them with acting like hes out of his mind... these new screen midgets dont really act... they just do...
