There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Years ago I could put a hurtin' on the Cici's Pizza Buffet, the pineapple and ham was right up there with their spinach pizza in goodness, IMO.

Depends. If it's an actual Hawaiian pizza...not soggy regular pizza with pineapple and ham thrown on top.

Quality of the ham is important. No sandwich sliced ham...it must be delicious chunks of grilled Virginia or Danish cured ham.

A semi sweet tomato sauce for the base ( a little King's or Huli Huli Hawaiian BBQ sauce thrown in the mix would be perfect).

No canned pineapple (syrup or juice will make the dough soggy).

AND NO CHEESE. I would not touch a Hawaiian pizza made with cheese, even if you paid me.


But for the most part, if a pizza place had 20 pizza combinations on menu, I would consider Hawaiian pizza my #20 choice.

Cici's is great, assuming your are on a tight budget and don't really care about what you are eating. Luckily, the Cici's, nearby, has a Five Guys right next door so there is no reason to go to Cici's.

We make our own pizza now (usually shrimp and artichoke heart or bbq chicken), but using a store-bought dough. That's about to change, everything from scratch. smile I'll post pics on the "What's for dinner?" thread when we make the next one.

Good luck with that. No pizza place uses fresh pineapple instead of canned and Virginia ham tastes no different than any other ham.

Mmmmm... Hawaiian Pizza.

Never would have come up with it on my own, but I was sold once I tried it.

Sort of like pistachio pesto pizza that we saw on the food channel. We took a road trip to Charleston, SC at EVO Pizza (http://www.evopizza.com). Worth it!

pistachio pesto pizza:
pistachio pesto, Split Creek Farm fromage blanc, ground pistachio,
creme fraiche, mozzarella, parmigiano-reggiano

Another winner we tried:
Goat Cheese and Sun Dried Tomato Pizza
