A few weeks ago North Kingstown held their annual air show. The Snowbirds were supposed to be the headline but had to step down about 4 days before the show. Luckily there were 3 demo teams still scheduled and each team went up twice. I felt like I was a kid again back when there were only air shows at military bases and they only had military demo's!

Thanks Ken, we only had 1 out this way last year and the weather wasn't the best, Thunderbirds canceled because of the crash out in CO and my son had a lacrosse tournament so it wasn't meant to be.

Have another one in Aug with the Thunderbirds, haven't seen them fly in 3-4 years so it will be nice to finally catch them.

This was my first time watching Randy Ball, heard he's a West Coast guy. Sure put on a heck of a show.

Sadly they're slowly going away here as well as they move towards the F-35. One loud jet replacing another!

couple more, Sean D Tucker in the red bi-plane is a staple at this show.

Sure miss not going there,,i lived in R.I. 15 years 70--mid 80's and spent some time at Marine Barracks Quonset Point ..Good pics enjoying them a lot TG

Me to, but Jeez, they are noisiest planes ever made. Watched one fly at a show years ago and my ears still hurt from it.

Like others above, I too particularly appreciate the photos of the Harrier. It sure is noisy, but the Lightning and F-104 are even louder, IMO. They were just rockets with wings ...

Thank you Russ, I've been going to that show for over 20 years now, it's always been a fantastic show. Statics like all shows are dying, they only had 4 planes not counting their museum stuff which is also going away soon. Place is falling apart and they can't afford to keep it going.

Thanks Jim and Eric, back in 08 I got to shoot the SH Demo from the hot ramp out in front of the show and they had a Harrier demo that year. When I get that close I tend to wear ear covers because they are so loud.

Finally caught my first F-35 here at Pease a bit ago, that thing is extremely loud!
