Its a subsim RK. There's a good thread on it in the Naval forums. Some good videos in there too. Thanks for the pictures TimeFusedExistence. How are you liking it? Looks great. I'll have to wait for a sale.

Coot I am one of developers so I can't give you my opinion on it, if you are on the fence about it, watch some gameplay videos people posted, read the Steam hub discussions etc

Wowsers, that looks nice. And 1968 is pretty interesting as time frame.

Pretty cool. Obviously the 3D gives you more evasion info than real life, but as a gameplay mechanic it makes a lot of sense and more fun... Seems they really struck a nice balance of realism and accessibility with this one.

there's a simple mod I did for the players that find the stock underwater viewranges -these we made to have that bit of Tom Clancy SSN feel- as bit too cheating when it comes to situation awareness, this one basically reduces underwater visibility and makes it more like in Atlantic Fleet, be warned this makes Cold Waters even harder

Looking really good. Thanks for the vids TFE. I saw some pics that looked near the artic. Sorry if this has been explained but what other oceans and land masses are in an around the campaign areas? That late 60s campaign really piques my interest too.

There's only the Eastern Atlantic available in the campaigns. No Pacific or Western (US seaboard) maps.

Not a bad option, but the default one seems to fit well into the gameplay so it wasn't a criticism on design smile

Any chance you guys are looking at surface ships for a DLC? I'm a bit too ADD these days to play a slow sub. Give me a Perry and a Seahawk for sub hunting and I'd be well into my Red Storm Rising world... though I get that this might need a much too technical interface for the type of game (deploying the helo, deploying buyos...?). Loved that about Dangerous Waters.

A Perry would be cool. I loved using Sea Sprites in Strike Fleet. It had a fairly simple interface, and that WASD setup would be just as good for a helo as for a sub. smile

I would buy DLC for surface units, diesel subs (Barbel Class?), and Soviet subs.

Howdy All,
Here is two of mine, on the peaceful side of things. Gets rough and brutal pretty fast out there.

Cheers,
