OK here is another one! I heard about this matchup from (cough) another flight sim, how an experienced pilot flying an Eindecker beat a rookie flying a S.E.5a. I was curious to see how this went, but I bent the rules a bit, using probably the best Eindecker (E.IV) versus the "worst" SE (S.E.5):

Haven't flown a lot of the German planes yet in WOFF:UE, and I must admit the Eindeckers are beasties to fly... wounded

Enjoy!

Jeff

Nice one, plenty of views no comments though. in reality your temperamental engine would far more likely conk out from random failure before his did wink

....i always tried to master the eindeckers. Now with 140 + hours on E I to E IV i think i understood them to some extent. The increased firepower and speed of the E IV is fine, if you're chasing two-seaters, but if you run into any single seater from BE12 on, the E III is the clearly better choice.
Always have to think of Kurt Wintgens...Never made it into 1917 so far...😩

Thanks guys! smile

@Sowercrowd....wow, long time on the Eindeckers! This was actually my very first time flying one in WOFF:UE. Landing was a treat...had to stomp on the left rudder to keep the thing somewhat straight skyisfalling
