Are any of you guys using an after burner detent?
I have been toying with some different ideas for an easily adjustable or removable detent for my CH Pro Throttle. But I was curious if anyone else had creative ways to deal with this.

I have a WH so it naturally comes with a plastic bit that can simulate the AB detent. I also prefer the "lift" method as the real F-16 isn't a "push" into AB, it's a "lift" to get into AB. I cannot imagine flying an AB-capable aircraft without an AB detent. For me, it helps me get a feel of where I am in the thrust range and sometimes, I just hit the detent to get an idea of how far away I am from it. I also use the IDLE detent on the WH when shutting the aircraft down. As I do more shutdowns than I do startups, that's what it's most useful for.... but it's also really cool to "come out of IDLE" when doing the start procedure instead of pressing a key or switch. Not sure my Warthog has AB detent but it does have idle detent and to be honest I have never ever used that Yep, it does. It's under your throttle levers

For the throttles you guys have that have an AB detent, at what % of throttle is the detent at?
I'm looking to do the velcro mod to the my CH Throttle and will probably shoot for the same range.

I'm looking to do the velcro mod to the my CH Throttle and will probably shoot for the same range. If you mean in-game throttle, then the detent should be at 100% throttle and anything past that is AB. If you mean the actual travel of the physical throttle, I'd say a good 2/3 is non-AB and the last 1/3rd is AB. As for the push through mod, I'm more worried about the wear and tear on the plastic bit that's attached to the throttle....

My old TQS (FLCS) has actually two AB detents I think. They are little bumps you push the throttle through. I think it should also have an idle detent but I never noticed it, probably the plastic has worn away already. I do use it to easily find 100% mil power. An actual lift would be more realistic but I don't have anywhere to bolt my TQS to my desk (glass plate desk...). It would probably be different if I was to build an actual pit, but that's not going to happen anytime soon. If you are talking about the Cougar, it had two detents that you could adjust. These are metal detents so I doubt it's "worn away".
