I'm amazed at the polish they put in- it looks really really smooth and above all that they managed a true "Vietnam" feel without resorting to Credence Clearwater Revival or Rolling Stones songs! biggrin

Most likely pick that up. I just hope its more like RO2 and less like how Rising storm ended up playing out if that makes any sense. Vastly preferred RO2 over the little changes that happened in RS. Probably not going to happen. Hope they release an SDK. Might try and do something there.

This game looks nice, but seriously, enough with the theatrical trailers.

It's been like 4 years in development. Show us some actual gameplay.

show us getting into and out of vehicles! Show us that there is no "zone play" where you die when you are not int he zone or if the zone magically moves away from you.

The mechanics on the ground look good and well paced.

But they need to be careful that it doesn't turn into a BF clone. Design the modes and use enough realism so that it's more like Squad.

Gameplay looks interesting, and the Twitch panel from Pax had some good info I missed. Cracks me up hearing from the TWI Dev, I don't know his name, who is also a character/voice actor in Killing Floor.

I think RO does a good job of filling the niche between fast paced games like BF, and hardcore tactical sims like ARMA.

It will be interesting to see if they include micro transactions in this one. Not usually a fan of MTs, as they usually turn the game into pay to win, but in KF2 the MT are cosmetic only which adds a bit of visual appeal and replay value.

I was hoping for more squadish and less bf/cod. Looks pretty fast paced though.

Anyone in the beta? does it still have that stupid death if you get stuck outside the objective when objectives switch that RO2 and RORS had?

From the videos I have seen the penalty is no longer "insta-death" If caught behind the front your gun jams and you cannot shoot until you vacate the area and clear it. The change is twofold, first to keep players from spawn camping and second to not over penalize players trapped behind enemy lines if an OBJ is taken.

if thats the case then that game can go #%&*$# itself. I dont give a crap about the whole funneling players bs. Its not fun and it is annoying. So you get caught out of objective and your guns jam then people shot you before you can get back in objective. That is at least better than just dying after 20s like RO2 but still... #%&*$# that.

That is a prime study in how to take a good game and make it completely unplayable.
