Sorry for the naive and uninformed quick question but: Rift or Vive, in a few words? Have a read here: http://www.techradar.com/news/wearables/htc-vive-vs-oculus-rift-1301375Personally after much deliberation I went with the Rift, and have been very happy with it. Not to say it is better as I have never tried a Vive, just that I am very pleased with it. Oculus did have a significant price drop on the Rift here couple months ago, so it is little cheaper if that makes any difference. In any event I am sure you would be pleased with either. I see plenty of happy both Rift and Vive users on different forums.

hey guys, game is running flawlessly on my Oculus CV1 + gtx 1080. Only issues I can notice is that sometimes gunsight gets flickering. its like mix of propeller and heat + flickering. sometimes is in a bigger area not just the gunsight. Anybody have similar issues? Yes, that is ASW for the Rift kicking in when FPS drops much below 90. https://developer.oculus.com/blog/asynchronous-spacewarp/It works very well to provide smooth gameplay when it gets below the recommended fps range for the Rift, it drops fps down to 45 and interpolates the frames to give an end result of the required 90 fps for the Rift. However it does cause some graphic anomalies like you described. Does the same in DCS as well. You can disable ASW for the Rift, but may then get stuttering when fps drops.

Thank you. I would like to ask the same question about DCS, that many of you certainly fly too: any preference there? Certainly the link you posted will shed much light. Only modern DCS aircraft I fly is the A10. VR is well implented but I do better in 2d, game wise. It's fun flying around in VR but can't say I'm very competitive with it. Systems are harder to control for me in VR. More experienced players probably have less problems. The WWII fighters are easier to control but full on dogfights wear me out. After 15 minutes I have to take the Rift off because I get motion sick. With Il2 I don't get motionsick and can dogfight for hours on end. This weekend My two 1080ti's are going to be installed and I'll find out if it changes the motion sickness issues in DCS. So far Il2 BOS is sticking out head and shoulders above all the other VR flight sims I've tried out so far.

I made the same experience. I do get motion sickness with DCS. I restricted myself to 10 mins, as I did feel very bad the whole day after around 30 mins through Vegas with the 190. I really hope, they can do something about it. I love the helicopters. Because of that finding, I didn't expect it to be different with BoS. But I did do aerobatics with the I16 for more than an hour. This was my best PC sim fun ever !
