I don't visit much, except to keep an eye on the Jane's forum, but between my DCS obligations and free time....I fly War Thunder in Arcade mode.

Im a quadriplegic, so this mode is easier for me to control. I use a trackball, TrackIR.

Recently I found a special way for me to manipulate the ball and apply aileron to force a rudder turn.

Enjoy!

Its nice to hear from you Rudel. I hope you're doing well. War Thunder sure looks pretty. I have to admit though that I have not really tried it yet. I think I should. Watching that video I have to say you're a good shot! My favorite part was that engagement starting at 4:17 at really high altitude and diving and turning in for the kill. Really nice sense of speed and nice shot. Have you thought of testing out one of these new VR systems? I'm not sure what the control peripherals are like with those VR sets but I bet there will be custom controllers for those coming. I've not tried one myself but I would love to especially with a flight sim.

What controls are you using in this video? Mouse, joystick, etc?

Thank you gentlemen! I'll try and visit more often; no promises though :nope

The game is a lot of fun if you're looking to just jump in and shoot around. It's not 100% realistic in terms of FM for arcade mode, but it's sure addicting!

I use a Kennsington Trackball to control the aircraft. When Im not shooting, I'll use my left thumb to push a single key at a time for aileron, elevator, or rudder; But when I shoot, I have to let go.

I have been in the hospital since mid-January 2017. Im not sick or ill, just have a pressure sore. Thanks to the excellent network here in the hospital, I finally downloaded some recordings from my home PC, and put together this quick video.
