I'm giving Wings of Prey another try, and have just discovered (not sure how I missed this before) that there were a bunch of essential patches

My DVD version is 1.0.3.1.

1) What is the latest "good" patch (I gather some later patches had problems)?
2) What is the sequence of patches needed to update to the above?
3) Where can I find the patches on a Malware-safe site? None of the patch links from the official forums work anymore ...

Thanks for the info: it does tell me which patches to use with the 1.0.3.1 DVD.

Unfortunately, all the patch links in that thread are defunct, so although I know what patches to use, I still have no way to get them.

I have to admit I'm rather annoyed that Gaijin are still selling WoP on their website, but aren't hosting the patches.

Candid question: do you not have a key code which might be working with Steam? In that case, it would update it automatically. I kind of remember mine was bought on their site but it is installed in Steam right now, that's why I ask.

If I remember correctly,WoP on Steam used a horrible patching system,relying on the god-damn awful yuplay client. Maybe that changed since,I didn't play it once War Thunder came out.

I think it's been removed since, but can't confirm right now.

I don't know if the DVD had a Steam-compatible code. I wound up buying it again from GOG instead.

I actually had contacted GOG just after my OP, to see if they had the very latest version, and they confirmed that this morning. So I bought it from them, figuring $9.99 is worth paying for a current version with good customer support.

I wound up buying the sim from GOG (they sell the latest version 1.0.5.2) so I wouldn't have to deal with Gaijin/YuPlay hassles (even Steam apparently still has some leftover YuPlay DRM garbage), plus a guarantee of support (unlike Gaijin, GOG doesn't abandon products they sell).
