My Win7 laptop has two user accounts, only one I use for Google Earth and I was on the other one. I switched users, still logged in to SimHQ on oldgrognard's "Fly-in..." thread on my first account, wanted to see the location in Google Earth. Tried opening SimHQ on my second account (wasn't going to log in) and I got this...

Hacked by? Looks kinda scary.

I saw the same thing yesterday. (Sat Mar 18 at about 6:00 pm). Immediately closed my browser and shut my computer down.

Wondered if SimHQ would be back this AM, but it was. Would also like to know what happened.

It's not doing it anymore, I can now access SimHQ's homepage ("www.SimHQ.com") from both user accounts simultaneously (using “Switch User”), even log on to the forums this way. I guess it's fixed now.

Don't do that.

If you think you might have caught an infection, download a tool (Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool, Adware, Hijack This...) and run it.

Shutting down and rebooting might enable a registry-set trigger to become active, to deeper embed the virus and hide it. The virus might clean leftovers from TMP folders or such.

Weirdness, you say?

Somehow I doubt that. He kinda reminds me of the height challenged guy of Greek descent from GMA.

It's certainly the height of 1998 web page design.

Hey, he was "on a spectrum" gender wise before it became cool.

And yep, his website predates Facebook, etc. I'm amazed he's kept it going for all this long.

Let's all sit back and reminisce about the awesome days when the internet was dominated by Geocities sites just like that.

I'm sure the vision problems many of us have in our later years can be directly attributed to having visited pages like that for the better part of a decade.

Ah, a time before popup ads, auto-starting videos, when webpages displayed only relevant information. There was some good there. smile

Lol, You won't believe the shock it engendered when I followed the link from your site to his. Still ended up browsing through it though.

Looking at his home page, this dude is famous (has even been on Late Night w/Conan)!

He wields a wicked ax, can make a Les Paul sound like a ukulele...

And he's married, pics of his wedding (many more at bottom links)...

Plus...

"I'm 56 and am making considerable effort and hopefully having some success at staying young..."

And I thought the Fountain of Youth was sex, drugs vitamins and rock 'n' roll (with a little cardio and weight training)! I must reconsider my beliefs.

There's gay guys (at least bi and/or confused) who marry women but usually at a young age, sometimes just to fit in. This guy isn't young and it's obvious he doesn't give two craps about fitting in. smile

Maybe he's a sleeper. We once saw this big burly dude (at least 6' tall, ~250+ lbs. of muscle) walking the French Quarter wearing a pink frilly tutu with a wand in his hand. Not *that* unusual to see freaks in the Quarter but I don't think anyone would mess with this guy anywhere, he also had a sturdy walk and expression. He didn't look totally crazy and wasn't talking to himself, probably in a performance somewhere. Maybe Peter Pan is a martial arts expert or something, wanting some real-life practice. Nah, probably not. smile

His love of ballet was a red flag, but I know it's not at all conclusive. I like the ballet myself for various reasons (story, music, athletic waifs), but I wouldn't want to perform in one. But then, I think it was Toni Bentley (a retired kinky little ballerina) who said you'd be surprised how many male ballerinas are straight (think Mikhail Baryshnikov, I guess). I do know this, those guys prancing around with half-coconuts in their tights are built. Picking up on a ~100 lbs. woman is no big deal. Tossing her several feet into the air, balancing her on your head and all that other crazy stuff they do, that's a big deal.

Peter Pan says on his website that he doesn't workout, just walks allot. Not a bad physique IMO if he's telling the truth, especially for his age.
