I'm a decent trail rider...but haven't really turned laps on a mx track much. Kinda of a late start at my age to be doing jumps but I think I did alright. wink

The track was really dry so there wasn't much grip and I almost lost it on the second lap. This vid is from the last 3 laps yesterday:

Very cool perspective, Force10.

As a kid I use to ride my friend's and brother's bikes behind the levee (parent's house within walking distance of Mississippi River), the tracks weren't that nice though. I'd be too scared I'd hurt myself now.

Two suns in the sunset, hmph

Thanks Mark!

I'm a little concerned that my 49 year old bones might not hold up too good on a spill off one of those jumps. wink

I have ridden street bikes for 30 years...I just got into dirt riding two years ago. Totally different animal than riding a street bike...a lot more difficult and technical!

Sadly...I still don't have much experience, my job/life usually only allows me to get out once a month and get dirty. frown

I had a pretty bad "get off" at Hollister Hills back in October:

[Linked Image]

Took out both knees, thumb, crushed fingers, ribs on right side (the worst) and my right shoulder. I got the riding bug bad though cause I was out there again at my next chance. (I was wearing knee gaurds BTW)

Yeah...everything happens so fast...I think the guards took the intial hit and then went sideways for the ensuing tumbling, flailing, rolling...lol

Vienna, 2nd rock left.
I'd love to try MX but I think I'm too Chickenshit.

Seems the chance to hurt yourself is about as good as with a decent highsider on the tarmac.

Still in awe of the GoPro stabilization. Might be also because you got it on the helmet? Cool vid, stay safe and enjoy it.

Please! Anyone who's out there racing on a tarmac at high speed with a bunch of other racers is not what I would call "Chicken"! You have to be somewhat fearless to do what you do RS.

There is a saying in motocross though " Baseball, basketball and football all require one ball...Motocross requires two!" Doesn't apply to me cause I'm just a noob out there not really breaking any speed or jumping records,
but there are some guys out there that you can here the clanking sound coming from between their legs, they really go all out. wink

Is the camera view where you are looking with your eyes? If so, you need to look further down the track with your eyes.

Anyways nice video.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Thanks!

The camera is mounted to the underside of my visor...I'm trying to hit that happy medium of tilting it up more so you can see further ahead but keeping the front fender in view for reference. My first two runs didn't record very well because my visor slid down quite a bit without me noticing...the footage was mostly of my handlebars and front fender!

Ice Cold in Alex or Eating in ...
Looks good and makes me wish I was 30 or 40 years younger and have it all to do again smile

Where I lived it was mainly peat bog that we rode on, still, sphagnum moss still hurts when you fall off but not as much as hard packed dirt.
