Yeah it's not a new game or usual SimHQ fare, but I was fairly impressed when I played through it around Christmas.

This is coming from a guy who hates 3rd person and console games.

It stands out as one of my best gaming experiences if just for the reason that most of my immediate family sat there and watched me and my video game developer stepdad play because they were so into the story.

Initially I didn't even want to play, I mean c'mon its Christmas and sh*t, but after some cajoling there I was choking fools out and shotgunning Clickers while I had my 83 year old French grandma sitting there all like "OHHHH, LUKE OUT FOR DET GUY!!" rofl

I actually can't wait for the sequel now!

I bought it recently for my PS4 but haven't played it yet except for the first few minutes.

Played it on the PS3 but just couldn't manage with the controls on the gamepad. Even bought a keyboard/mouse adapter for it.... if they release it for the PC, I'd be all over it. Great game, and even had the wife sitting beside me watching "for the story."

I wish they would put this out on pc. Maybe when Sony does their pc gaming service.
I can't use the PS3 controller, gotta have an Xbox controller.

Sony owns Naughty Dogs. Doubt they would ever sign off on letting their PS exclusive go to pc or xbox

I've been looking at some games today, especially some upcoming ones that are console only. I'm tempted except I HATE playing any sort of FPS with a gamepad. I just can't do it.

Well, you're safe because this is a TPS. yep
I hate it too to be honest but for the most part, it's a matter of habit and you get accustomed pretty quick.

to feed the dog, and the dog's job is to bite the pilot if he touches anything...

I bought an XBox controller to play No Man's Sky but after a few hours had to ditch it. I'm too old to change frown

TPS or FPS will make no difference to me,I will suck at both with a controller.

There were indeed many points in the game that I wished for a keyboard and mouse, but only for the shooting elements. I actually preferred the gamepad for melee combat and general 3rd person doings-of-stuff.

Anyway I have to say that this was the best game I've played in years, and while apples-to-oranges, it really made Fallout 4 look sloppy in a lot of ways.

I love The Last of Us. I played it through on the PS3 and loved it. In 2014 I got the PS4 Remaster and played through it again and loved it all the more. Have crisper textures and butter smooth 60 FPS was a huge delight. Its an exceptional game and iits now one of my favorite games too! I also enjoyed "Left Behind" but play that one last! I'm also really, really looking forward to #2. I think TLOU2 and Red Redemption 2 are most most anticipated games. Raw Kryptonite, I think you'd like it a lot. Great story, immersion, atmosphere, limited supplies and ammo!, stealth, pacing, emotion and so on. Great character models and very good combat. Joel's one of my all time favorite gaming characters now along with John Marston. The Remastered Uncharted Games are also exceptional with crisper visuals and 60 FPS. I played those on PS3 and then again on PS4. To me its absolutely worth getting a Playstation 4 for those games alone. The Last of Us also has that great image capturing tool showing up in games more and more which I love. Lets you really examine character models too. I've got a bunch of pictures I've been wanting to share of The Last of Us.

It was interesting hearing a game developer's perspective while playing, he was particularly impressed by the facial animation and attention to environmental detail.

What's funny is that it wasn't his preferred type of game, and he would have never played it if his company hadn't bought it {and a PS4} as 'homework" for their staff.

I'll definitely have to borrow that PS4 to play the sequel, as well as Red Dead Redemption 2!

Sony is changing, they are realsing the impact of pc gaming. Some new games are exclusive to ps4 but still coming to PC, and if rumours are true even microsoft might ditch xbox brand and focus on PC.
