I did some testing with my GoPro I got as a gift. I sampled the vid down for Youtube so it's not as crisp as it is native. It sure doesn't seem like I'm going
very fast in the vid...but it felt pretty fast on the bike! smile

Yeah, that looks fast to me. No way I'm doing that! Too old! Good for you!

My thoughts to, 30 years ago would have loved to have road that track. These day, I like to stand on the sidelines and watch.
Stay safe, and Ride On. Have fun.

BTW, youtube video stabilization really sucks. I let them do it one my 4k videos and and they rendered it back to 1080p and looked terrible.

I'm not exactly a spring chicken myself...the GoPro was a gift for my 49th b-day. At least I'm still in my 40's! exitstageleft

Lol, all I could think of was that is a heck of a lot faster than I would go anymore and it would have sucked to go off the side on part of that trail.

The Session stabilization looks very good. The sound is pretty good too.

What is your take on the representation of the terrain? I have a Hero 4 and sometimes when I get back from a ride and want to review a gnarly hill climb or rock garden crawl or whatever, the video doesn't do it justice.

Vienna, 2nd rock left.
Looks pretty good, both the riding and the video. Especially the stabilization would be something I could use.

These cameras never do the terrain justice. With the stabilization off...it does show a bit more of the choppy nature of the terrain, with it on...it looks like you're riding on smooth pavement and people can't see the sheer "violence"
that's happening to your body on these trails. Not to mention your head is like a natural gyro anyway and is moving less than the bike and your body. As you mentioned...the cameras don't show elevation changes very well. You can see me
slowing down in the vid...that's because of some steep downhills that don't show very well in the footage. Same with hill climbs...they look like mild bunny slopes on camera.

I realize that if I have the front tire wash out at some of those speeds...I will be paying my $6500 yearly medical deductible in one visit...lol

Cheers!
