The "Add this thread to my Followed Threads" option is enabled by default when I use the full editor. I looked in my Preferences and I don't see a way to turn that option off so I have to uncheck it each time I use the Full editor if I don't want to follow the thread. I thought there was a way to set that option in your Preferences before the upgrade?

Thanks for that Racer. I will try it, but why is my mobile device missing the last column. See pic below:

[Re: RacerGT]
the theme is responsive and will remove columns to make the site fit/display properly on a mobile device....

Is it tailorable? There is so much wasted space between the first column and the next. Can it not compress to include all columns. The last column "Last Post" is far more useful than the one preceeding it IMHO.

BWOC Survivor!...So Far!!
One other feature no longer is working. When I add a link to a post and specify the Title description field, I used to be able to highlight the Title text and change the colour with the font color button but that no longer works. Here is what happens:
Here is how the last entry below looks in edit mode when I tried to apply red text to the Title field. I had to put an extra "l" in the "url" designation to prevent the line from being interpreted: [urll=https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/57920149/WOFF%20UE%20Effects%20Mod%20V1_5%20by%204L0M.zip]WOFF UE Effects Mod V1_5 by 4L0M[/urll]
What is going on with the above interpretation by the forum software?

OK....it doesn't show the photo in the preview. We don't need a 'host' to post the photos here.
Upload via the 'Attachment Manager'.
Just different, works great.
Thanks Racer
You realize the picture you posted is in attachment format and not within the body of the text like it used to be. Attachment format is not as flexible which reqyires a convoluted process to post the picture as a link in order to get it into the body of the text. You also cannot properly change the font colour for your links like we used to be able to do.See my example in previous post.

Not crazy about all the changes, but I understand there's going to be compromises since you're also catering to mobile users (which I'm not part of). Nothing I can't get use to.

Another note Murphy. The attachment manager does not show up in the PM interface so the only way to get a picture imbedded in a PM is to use the "Link" feature which means your pic has to be on a host.

+1 to get this feature back

Murphy, can you also address my original post above about inline pic posting? If not, can you explain why?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Have no idea 'why', as I didn't design the new changes for the smart phones. Guess we'll have to work with the 'inline' problem you're having.
What worries me most, are the photos in the PM's.

Not sure where the optimisation for mobile has been done It doesn't appear to be mobile friendly.I still have to zoom in to read threads. It's not that much different to the standard site
The main SimHQ site looks good on a mobile. it's only the forum I'm talking about
Also, what I liked about the old forum was the option to put the signature into a post (or not). Depending on whether I express my personal optionion (or that of the company) I leave the signature out (or not). Would be nice to be able to continue with this distinction.
Use the "Full Editor" and you will see an "Add Signature" checkbox on the right side below the "post icon" bar.
Well, I don't want to start an old geezer's rant about how the past was better...
...but can you make the full editor the default, at least by personal preference settings? The "lite" editor is so "basic" that it actually no longer contains the basic elements. In 90% of my postings I realize that I want to do something that only the full editor allows (like, removing both checkmarks (signature and that utterly useless "followed threads" thing, as if I couldn't remember; I wish both were off by default).

[Re: Ssnake]
looks like I would have to disable the quick reply option, I don't see a default setting...

I would prefer to be dumped into the full editor by default as well. I don't see any settings that I have access to in the Control Panel that would change the check box defaults that you are talking about. It looks to me like it may be possible to do away with the "lite" editor (aka quick quote / quick reply, I think) which I suspect would just put everybody into the full editor every time... but that is an issue I should leave to RacerGT, as it would affect everyone (and I could be wrong about how that works).
