"F16, AirWarriors Fighting Falcon Air wing, 4th generation fighters of the US army."

I know a few zoomies who would take exception to that lol

Here's an interesting one

https://youtu.be/WkZGL7RQBVw

In it, the student pilot pulls about 8.3 Gs and enters GLOC. The aircraft goes in to a dive at full afterburner reaching speeds in excess of 600 knots while pitched nose down 55 degrees. This is a certain fatality. Except the aircraft has GCAS.

Note recovery Gs eek

He hit 691 knots there.... as for recovery G, I saw 9.1G, correct? I wonder why the instructor on the radio sounded panicky, didn't he know there was GCAS? Then again, I'd probably panic too.... but I just thought pilots were much more "cool" than this. biggrin

Yep 9.1. The recovery was more punishing than what put him in to that situation in the first place. But I'm sure this particular pilot had no complaints.

I just watched Schnidrman pull 9.1 shooting down those Fulcrums, he can tell us smile

Here's another one

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uh4yMAx2UA

This is well-known HUD footage from the first Gulf War when two F-16s were shot down during the mission to attack the Tawaitha nuclear research facility and nearby secondaries near Baghdad. Rosenkranz in Vipers in the Storm was on this mission and describes it in the book.

The pilot in this video, Stroke 3, evades at least six SAMs. He states his target is an oil facility when titling his tape, so he was assigned a secondary target presumably. This was the largest mission package of the war, and included 48 F-16s according to Rosenkranz. Stroke 1 and Stroke 4 from the 401st TFW were hit by SAMs over the target, though survived as POWs.

Stroke 1 flew for 150 miles in his damaged F-16, shepherded by an F-111, before running on EPU and finally calling over the radio

"That's all I've got guys. I'm outta here"

Another well-known video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dohKKp0EvTs

Thunderbirds crash from 2003. Pilot attempted split-S too low. There was a still shot from the ejection that was my wallpaper for a while. Ejection was eight-tenths of a second before impact.

Another video detailing the crash
