Just found out that the last DCS patch, zapped all my records, hours, pilots, and campaign progress...all gone. everything. I was about to continue a campaign that I was working on and everything was wiped clean. Did anyone else get zapped? Is there anyway to recover them?

Is it possible that the new patch has DCS looking for the relevant files in a different folder? (Maybe your records are still on your hard drive, and just need to be copied into another location).

DCS updates don't touch the Saved Games folder except to write log files. Have you actually looked for/at the relevant files and verified that they are gone? Keep in mind that there are three variations (Released, Open Beta & Open Alpha) and they each use their own Saved Games folder.

I didn't try the saved game location. I wondered if the patch might have saved the records and LOGBOOK there or else where. What is the name of the file? I'll take a look in the saved games files and the Eagle Dynamics master on the D: drive. The saved games is on my C: drive. I had held off applying the patch just because I game time was lmiited for several days. When I finally applied it the other night, I went to continue the campaign and all the recirds were gone. When I looked at the logbook, my pilots and records were gone there too. What folder would they be in? I'll take a look. Thanks

I found the the new LOGBOOK in the Saved games files, but no previous records of anything there. It just started me over witha new un-named pilot on 2-19-2017.

I did some research on-line and saw that this has occurred to others before. Similarly, a DCS patch applied an update and the Logbook and records vanished. But no one found their records after the patch. Or, if they did, it wasn't reported in the forums.
@ cichlidfan: Thanks. I opened the correct Game\Release version, which for me is DCS Worldxx, and copied the LOGBOOK. Then, I opened the copy. It was the new LOGBOOK records with none of my previous records or pilots. Just all new campaign info.
@CyBerkut: I really hope that the files are on the hard drive somewhere and that the program is looking on the wrong place. However, I'm not to hopeful. I'm going to look around on the hard drive tonight, if I get in from work early enough. If not, then this weekend when I have more time. In mean time, I'll just restart the campaign because I suspect that the records are gone. I'm still open to suggestions if anyone has anything. Thanks

Well, if you know what file name(s) to look for, let the search function in Windows Explorer just scan both your C: and D: drives for it/them.

Good luck!

It's pure genius, takes a few seconds to scan your PC when installing, then tracks all changes and additions to your system and gives you instantaneous results.
