Hello,

I have a question about WOFF regarding leave passes and being sent home "for a rest". Do these things happen to RFC airmen in WOFF? I've noticed that the NPC's occasionally get a 48 hour pass and I'm wondering, for the sake of role playing a credible career, if I will also get a leave pass at some point or be sent home to be an instructor?

If this isn't the case then is there a way in which I might simulate such events by "hacking" them into my campaign?

Jimmy,
Once you have been flying long enough, an icon will come up next to claims pending icon. I think this appears on the mission screen. Click it to request a leave. That I know of, you will not be sent home as an instructor.

Thank you Mfair. I'll take a look at how this is logged when the time comes and see if there's a way to work a stint as an instructor into the campaign by old fashioned Notepad++ tinkering.

(Provided I survive long enough, which is a dubious prospect for a Fee pilto)

It might be something to think about for immersion, being sent home to be an instructor for a rest or going on a propaganda tour junket. I've only recently sunk my teeth in to WOFF and I've noticed, very quickly that it's a loooong war.

Fortunately the amazing variety and detail make it easy to keep interested in plodding along and having fun.

This is the icon MFair mentioned. Keep an eye out for it below the Flight Duty Roster.

Jimmy,

If you want to see it right away, go into workshop and activate "leave always approved" or some such wording and the icon will be there on the mission briefing selection screen. You can click it right off again. Ats how i found it.

I'm not sure how the game works, so I'd make a dummy pilot, activate him, and then try it without logging any of my real pilots...just to be safe. That way you will know where it is going to appear and can watch for it.

Thanks again. I'll probably wait an let it come up naturally but that is a good idea for future reference.

Another question though, what's the score with transfers. I don;t intend to transfer in my current career but I wonder if I may be offered a place in another squadron or posted by Corps HQ at some point? Is this a campaign feature?

I've only made it halfway through the war so far. No transfer offered and no reassignments. We have relocated the entire squadron to new airfields on a few different pilots.

I've put in for one transfer. Was granted. Took almost a month.

Hope that helps.

It is not only an 48h pass, but when going further in time during the campaign mode you also recieve an pass for an longer period, a week or something.
