Thank you, my friend.

Being new, there is so much information and options in this game that I sometimes spend more time gobbling up knowledge then I do flying.

Going to try them both out. Definitely going to run 40LM.

(Yep. reading back right now. Thanks again).

Most of the mods on here are brilliant mate,it might be Olhams Rivers mod that gives it a bit of extra shine regarding the water pal.
4Loms mod is brilliant,so is the models mod,il take a pic of what im using ..and the order ive installed and ive had zero problems mate.Ankors brilliant Enhanced cockpit view mod is a must its brilliant.

Edit: the ones you see on the right hand side (activated mods) that are kinda greyed out is because..they overwrite each other, after a bit of time spent with the loading order i can confirm that what you see with my load order works for me 100% pal

Your very welcome mate,if you use the mission mod be sure to activate 3rd party mission types in workshop
I also use triple j,s mission editor which is available but that's not JSGME activated it requires Java to be installed,it's a great piece of work and there's a great guide by Harry H regarding this feature..if you do install it then activate the 3rd party mission editor also in workshop..have fun pal cheers

Lot of good info and some great photos happening right now, guess we've all been bitten pretty hard by the WOFF bug. Thanks for the compliment on my 'vertical' image Bucksnort. First campaign with an Albatross, and that poor sucker going down in that fantastic spiral of smoke and flame is one of those new, very cool looking Caudrons. Sorry, almost hated to shoot it up, but it got in my way. Go bomb somewhere else! SW

I'm 67yo and did lots of plastic modeling in my life. My last phase I was in my 30's--40's and was doing them with my youngest son and we did some pretty nice ones, aircraft and armor. My favorite thing of all those hours was researching and doing camouflage. Now in WWII the Italian, some Japanese, and some German in North Africa had the most interesting stuff, fun to paint. But in WWI a different story. The French and British didn't do much, pretty boring. The Germans were nice, kinda went through a few phases. Some pretty straight forward camo at first, then the 'anti-camo', the crazy colors and designs, and then the lozenges designs. I remember when I first saw the lozenge I kept wondering how it would work visually, were you less noticeable with that scheme when viewed from above or what? So the USAS then actually tried a pretty workable paint scheme, broad areas of paint that were used later in WWII by US, British, maybe French too. So a nice concept. I like this photo of an N28 with landscape below. SW

Remember, the Americans used what came out of the French factories in WW1, and this was the late war French camo scheme for all their planes (look at the French and American SPADS in WOFF and you will see the same camo on those planes too).

PR, true enough, although the last time I flew Fr. SPADs they had the one color skin. I don't remember the four color and the use of black though. Anyway I liked the image because it does give that 'deceptive' look. SW

PR, just noticed an image from Fullofit on the WOFF Art Thread of a French SPAD similar to this US Nieuport. Didn't look like it had camo paint on the fuselage, I'll check into it some more. I'm not a 'skinner' so I could easily be missing out. It is a nice paint design for WWI though. SW

Hi Steve,
Early French aircraft were mainly clear doped linen (CDL) or aluminium silver. Later some aircraft types were camouflaged by the different manufacturers, as with the early Spad V.II and later Spad V.III.
Each manufacturer chose slight differences to the standard camouflage style, roundels and even the style and positioning of the aircrafts serials numbers.
Spad's were produced primarily by Bernard, Bleriot, Kellner and Spad and each style, where applicable, is reflected in the Spad skins in WOFF.

Hi Steve,
Yes - The N.28's upper surfaces were the factory standard pattern of Chestnut Brown, Dark and Light Green and Beige. The right upper wing 'foot print' and right upper horizontal stabilizer patch were lamp black.
When passed to the American units, they embellished them with various colour schemes on the engine cowl, wings and on a few, with posters of the time pasted onto the right upper wing surfaces (see the 27th, 94th, 95th, 147th Squadrons).

SB, thanks. I'm familiar with the 'individual' work on the US aircraft, what I know less about is the look of the 1918 French aircraft. I have pretty much only flown OFF/WOFF as US in '18. I'm a 1916-1917 pilot. So that's helpful to know. Be that as it may, again it is a very nice camo. SW
