Pure jealousy (or is that ignorance) from the ROF people.

CPU = i9 11900K

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, however a side by side comparison of 2002 CFS3 and 2016 WOFF UE shows they aren't even remotely the same. That said, RoF and WOFF UE both have, IMHO, their own areas where they each shine. I guess it all just depends on what you are looking for. There are things in RoF I wish were in WOFF UE and things in UE I wish were in RoF. Glad we can have both.

That BE2 banking over the water is one of the best shots I've seen. Imagine what WOTR is going to look like.

IMHO, there is only thing that I like more in ROF than WOFF and that is their flak, other than that, I think WOFF wins. Like I said, just my preference.

Asking because I'm still trying things (damn new guys!), and wasn't sure if Sweet would enhance that much, or if it worked well with 40LM.

If you calibrate your monitor correctly to start with, you do not need SweetFX.

CPU = i9 11900K
GPU = RTX 3080 Ti
Monitor = ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX 2160p G-sync

So Sweet does not really enhance? or does it, just not to the extreme difference with UE?

As far as the monitor, I just got a new one. Did a calibration. Game looks great, but it looks just a bit different in than that picture (the water actually).

Might be a few things. I have my saturation turned down just a bit. in game I had environmental reflections and glossiness turned down to about half (which would account for the reflections off the waves?). Just read that 40LM also reduces the shore foam.

Going to play around with them but was curious about Sweet also. Adger's shots always look amazing.

Hi Blackard yep pal 4LOM,S latest 0.80 mod and sweetfx..the sweetfx i use is on the mods download page
Its by Bucksnort and is JSGME enabled

Try it mate if you dont like it you can turn it off/on ingame (scroll lock) key is what i use

@Panama Red my monitor is a 1440p Dell Ultrasharp (i believe its calibrated to my specs) and i notice a difference with Sweetfx on and off

Edit: i have reflections at 4 and Glossiness also at 4 in workshop mate

I'd vote ignorance. Not in a nasty way, but in a lack of knowledge way. People often just grab a soundbite and run with it rather then study, or understand it. It's how the media works to control public opinion, or how special interest portray "studies" that favor their agenda or point of view (very few actually delve into the study).

The individual simply looked at the date that CF3 originated and made a giant leap of assumption based on limited data. If the individual did just a bit of research, they'd clearly understand that this game is not replicating 2002 graphics as it stands at this point.

There is having one's point of view, or preference, then there is the art of besmirching based upon said reference or point of view. Seems the individual extrapolated his preference out just a bit.

I've run both sims myself. My preference is this one, but ROF is also an extremely good looking game.
