Haggard, that's awesome.
Linebacker, mostly gaming. Thank you!

Do you play Arma? That should be part of the design considerations if you do.

Wait a month or so for AMD's Ryzen and see what happens with CPU prices.

One of my computers has an older processor in it - an AMD "black edition" Phenom II processor (at least 3 ghz).
It no longer meets the "recommended" processor capabilities of some games - anyone here have an opinion as to maybe it would be ok to run those games if i upgraded the hard drive to a solid state drive and increased the RAM to 4 sticks instead of the two it has plus upgraded the video card (its a Radeon Sapphire but no longer have all the info on it).
Not sure if it would be worth the upgrade or just start from scratch with a new i5 Core processor.

Well, my kid decided he wanted to build his own, so I will be keeping mine as is. Plus, I don't have to spend 4 grand or whatever. He can do it as he wants, however he wants, with his money from his job.
It's a pretty good system still, with a GTX 1070 I just put in about two months ago.
But when it comes time, I'll ask again because I'm too old and have way better thing she to do than building it myself (maybe I won't by then though...who knows!)
Thanks
