How far we've come. I remember painting a/c for RB, literally pixel by pixel in some spots, and painting in the shadows of the upper wings, tailfeathers and lower fuselage on the fuselage. Very static. And now we have the magic of Ankor. Cheers, shredward Now there is a old school skinner speaking from experience We added 'occlusion' to areas close to structural joints, such as wings to fuselage, tailplane/fin to fuselage etc. This was done by adding a darker 'shadow' at the join areas. Again something now redundant with the advent of the shaders.

You had to go with the darkest gray you could get to work. Doing my plane took hours. I think I still have the files stashed away in my old xp machine somewhere. I remember, much later, modding in "Full Canvas Jacket", which really made the game look great (and skinning that much harder). I think that's the only reason that I don't have the Steam Version loaded up (well, that and this game). Can't mod it into their version.

Nice capture of that sunken vessel Adger That beautiful sparkling water drew my eyes to it.
