I would check if I was insured if an accident should happen.

Uber insures its drivers and passengers while they are "on the clock" ie picking up a ride or driving them to their destination. When they are not doing either of those things, the drivers must rely on personal insurance.

I admit I know little about how the passengers are covered, though.

Normally like $12-18.

Saturday, Varied between $39.98 and $87.00 for UberX, UberXL was Over $100 all weekend.

Lyft Cost me $7-12, I got a $7 Ride w/ the $5 off Promo, so I paid $2.

The Uber Rate Spiked After Each Football Game Ended, and Spiked Depending on Pickup Point.

Local College = High Rates
Local Hospital = High Rates

move your pickup location a few blocks away, you drop from $39 to $14 again.

Literally, the Same Route, one Way was $45, the opposite way was $15.

There are More Uber Drivers than Lyft, so Lyft isnt always an Option.

And they also decided to hit my CC w/ a $25 Auth Fee when I got my new phone, and had to re-add my CC to my Account.

I'm Still waiting to get that back,.

One Driver just gave me his Cell Number, because he was going to stay in the area and get something to eat, and to txt him when I was done, and He'll give me a lift home for free.

Still, a Taxi is about $45+Tips to run the same run, however they charge an extra 15% if you use a Credit card.

And Half the Taxi's Here also have a 4G enabled Tablet running Uber/Lyft on the side of their dash to go along with dispatch units.

My wife's uncle got upgraded to Uber X or XL or whatever it is. He has a Jeep Grand Cherokee that he uses, not a Honda Fit or other small car, and I guess enough riders rated him highly for it that he got the bump.

Of course, the Jeep uses more gas so he does need to get more for it to come out in the same spot as a Mini Cooper driver.

so far I've only been in nice and clean 2014+ cars.

My girl go a old ass suzuki car, and had to hang on for her life during the ride.... 1 Star Rating.. lol..

I know drivers that run 10 Hour Shifts, and they focus them around peak times (6PM to 4AM, get the crowds of people leaving work and bars).

They get an average of 20-25 Rides at $15-$20 each. so about 500 Gross Minus Ubers 20%, not counting rate pikes when they get $40 Fares.

I prefer Uber because I dont like carrying cash, and taxi drivers here charge a 15% fee for cards, plus you have to use cash to tip them.

and Taxi's are still considerably more even during Uber Rate Spikes,

Oh, I drive. No taxis, no Ubers, nothing but me.

I was referring to tipping in general, such as at restaurants.
