Ok I am getting the hang of this awsome sim but I am running into some minor problems. I am trying to do the courier mission and it says the car and ship have been programed into the ABRIS, I can not seem to locate that information. I am doing the training missions as we speak but to be honest I have recieved better training by posting here.

on the Abris click on NAV and then on Search. rotate the knob on the lower-right to move the selection to WPT and then click the ^ button below Search to bring up the list of Waypoints.



with the lower-right knob you can select the waypoint and if you click on the ^ button below TO there will be a line on the Abris between your helicopter and the waypoint.

the Car Reference Point is on a bearing of 327 degrees and a range of 21.9km. the Ship Reference Point is on a bearing of 266 degrees and a range of 37.3km.

it can be installed using modman but i just took the INTERLEAVE bitmap file and copied it to:

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Bazar\TempTextures

there is also another Shkval screen mod by luke88 on page 3 of that same thread if you wanted to check it out.

May as well ask this here, since I'm trying to get through this mission as well: once I select the "Car" waypoint with the TO function, do I need to manually enter in waypoint coordinates into the PVI-800 in order for the helicopter to fly to that location?

if you want to use the autopilot to fly the helicopter you will need to manually enter the waypoint coordinates, of the flightplan, into the PVI-800.

or you can create a flightplan in the Abris and manually fly the helo using the Abris screen to guide you.

i think the mission is partly designed to force us to use the Abris to quickly create a flightplan and then enter the waypoint coordinates into the PVI-800. a learning experience.

Despite the age of this mission and all the trigger breaking updates have done - this still works great. I flew it without NVGs as well.
